NBA Draft Rounds 4-5

I need an actual 4. So Im going Julius Randle. I also really feel hes a super star in the making, especially with his recent weight loss.

I'm out with family, so I'll keep this short. I was going to pick Capela here for rim protection.

Instead, I'll bolster my rebounding and take the double-double machine Nikola Vucevic.

maybe we can revise pick limits in these later rounds? Seems silly to wait 12 hours for someone to select stanislav medvedenko

Weekends are slow. It's just how it works. Things should pick back up tomorrow.

It's definitely tough to try and keep up sometimes if you get busy, but now that everyone's at work and not with their family, it'll probably be easier. I'm at work from 9 to 5 most days, so I have from 9 to 5 to make my draft picks lol. I have my necessary excel spreadsheets up with Catsillustrated in the background.

It's understandable. Everyone's on a different schedule. I'm used to drafts where everyone takes one hour out of their day with 2 minutes between picks and it's finished in an hour, so this is just different, but fun.

A quick rapid fire one would sure be fun, but I'd be drafting 8th round picks in round 3 if I had 2 minutes to prep lol.

I don't want to brag but I know exactly who Gonzo's going to pick. I'll pat my self on the shoulder once he's posted. I'm confident that I've aligned myself with his way of thinking as well as resigning myself to the fact the player I want is one that'll be taken before it gets back to me.

I'm locked in on three guys, but would be surprised to get any of them.

Have two back-up plans. Hoping to come away with two of the five in my next two picks.

Looking at his roster it's clear that he needs some size. Quality big men are few and far between at this point. I could probably name the 3 players he's looking at too, they are likely in the same group I was picking from this round.

Hey just on the off chance anyone else is reading this thread, I'd rather we not discuss who/what I might pick until i'm OTC.

I love it when a plan comes together.

13 points, 9 rebounds, over 1.5 steals and blocks, with 57% shooting, per 36.

And those should only improve as he plays with a true playmaker in Chris Paul and beside a PF who is a great passer instead of a black hole.

But the numbers don't tell the story.

He's the guy Westbrook trusts and respects. He's tough, strong, aggressive, and the perfect fit for the modern NBA. A big, mobile, rim protector who doesn't demand touches to score. The rare brute who can bang in the post and switch out front on the pick and roll.

And he's just 23 years old even though it may feel like he's been around forever. He's another guy who has been through the wars and proven to make winning plays.

Give me Steven Adams, C.

His PER is 16 not 36 lol

He was on my list. I was surprised that Adams' numbers were so low. They really don't adequately represent the value you get from him. He has been the anchor in the middle for several deep OKC playoff runs.

However, I have to question the bad chemistry you are building. Green and Adams together on the same team? I just can't see that going well.

I think he is saying that those are his averages prorated at 36 minutes per game. His actual stats are much lower (11.3/7.7). The per 36 is a good way to see how effective a backup player can be if he were given more minutes. I'm not sure if it is a good measure for a starting center.

My bad I thought he was saying PER as in player efficiency rating.

Would it be possible to make a 12 team league on 2K with our actual rosters? Would be pretty cool to just simulate the playoffs and see what happens.
