3 in one week I think. Don’t know anything about these guys so not sure whether to be concerned or not. Are these Woodward recruits? Is there more going on behind the scenes and this is more of a mutual thing? Are we too concerned about the portal and are dropping the ball with the high school guys? Doesn’t seem like half of our high school recruits pan out so I’m thinking this is nothing to be worried about personally. We’re not talking about big time recruits.

Seems like this is a consistent thread lately. Is this fallout from WR coach being fired? I hope whoever the replacement is is a helluva recruiter as we seem to be relying more and more on the portal and our HS recruiting has hit a ceiling. The sky isn't falling but I would like to rely equally on HS recruits and portal transfers rather than building a roster every year from 1- and 2-year plug-ins. Yes, you have more of an idea of whether a transfer will fit it, can play at SEC level, etc. But, one would guess that a HS kid should have a lot more upside development-wise than does a 3rd yr Jr.

He was dismissed from K-State(K-State fans were not happy) because of a disorderly conduct charge stemming from an incident at bar. He's set to graduate next week and in the article it says because he didn't suit up for K-State he'd be immediately eligible to play this year. If you remember he had 12 points, 6 boards, and 4 blocks against UK in the tournament last season. Averaged 10.5 pts, 6 rebounds, and a block in his 1 season of college basketball.

There are currently THREE portal players who I feel very good about when it comes to Kentucky's chances.

One is RB Chip Trayanum. We would not be surprised if he announces very soon.

Another is DB De'Carlos Nicholson. Not sure on timetable but that makes a lot of sense.

There is a third and no hints, but I think this week sometime is the timetable.

Think about it; UK loses by 5 to #1 Kansas on a neutral floor without Bradshaw who obviously would have helped to limit the 7 footer Dickinson who went off.

UK loses by 7 to UNCW with Wagner out with an ankle sprain. We would have won with DJ.

That puts UK at 9-0 instead of 7-2 and #1 in America.

Now that both are healthy dont look for UK to lose again.

No comparison between wild duck taste compared with heavily marinated, over priced tame restaurant duck. 80 Proof, the Vandagriffs and some other posters know what I’m saying!

I've spoken to two sources since the earlier post, and there is denial from around the program and university that he has been cleared. We will see. This has been a frustrating process, so I can imagine how it has been for Z and for Coach Cal and his staff. There are definitely mixed messages, so we will have to wait and see. But if I had to go in any direction, it looks like he has not been cleared. Those sources are contacted to the right places, and they outweigh those who had a different opinion the past few hours.

I don’t remember seeing anything last year other than individual player rankings. You would think somebody out there would rank transfer “classes” considering it’s becoming more important than high school recruiting. Would like to see how we rank vs other programs when all things are said and done. Seems like we’re able to get a few top players out of the portal but wondering if we’re competing from top to bottom with other schools.

Good opportunity for Phillips to show his stuff. Might have a higher stock than we probably would’ve thought if he’s been invited to the Senior Bowl instead of one of the lesser showcases.

Personally, I think the kid is a heck of an athlete and a fearless competitor, he will hit you. He has experience inside and outside which is another plus. A little undersized and to be honest was pretty inconsistent this season with his play. Always going to root for one of our Cats to fulfill his dreams.

Good lord. This biggest comeback since the turn of the century especially on Monday Night Football. Shout out to our Kentucky Football Rookie QB. What a performance
