Anybody think a 2 seed is possible?

Yea that Sunday final has screwed UK many times, and even winning the SEC this year probably get's UK no better than a 3 seed.

But who else gets it?

Not sure any of the following teams drop out of the 1-2 seed line:
Houston, Purdue, Uconn, UNC, Tenn, AZ. Does Tenn with an early loss?

That leaves 2 number 2 seeds for the following teams:
Creighton, Iowa St, Marquette, Duke, Illinois and UK.

Iowa St and Creighton are ranked ahead of UK, and perhaps if they win their conference tourneys are probably more deserving of a 2 seed even if UK does. But what if neither win? Or only one does?

Can you still justify them getting 2 seeds if UK wins? Can you justify someone ranked below UK getting a 2 seed if UK wins?

I have a feeling Sunday around 6pm we are not going to be happy if we won the SEC 3 hours earlier.

Blame Cal all you want….but

This team played sloppy and out of control the ENTIRE game. It’s fine to be critical of Cal to some degree but there were too many easy missed shots…too many ridiculous turnovers…too many ridiculous calls….and no desire to play defense. Simpletons see a loss and blame Cal but refuse to hold players to any level of accountability. It’s sad too think how many UK “fans” turned the television on tonight rooting for the other team just so they could cry about it online. The players on the court tonight played AWFUL. Don’t @me crybabies

Cal needs to see a sports psychologist

Maybe he can borrow Reed and Justin's. He needs to learn how to not let his butthole pucker up in one-and-done situations like he has his entire career.

His tension affects the players. Reeves scores 20+ for like 6 games in a row and all of a sudden in the SECT he has 13. Yeah i know he had foul trouble. Ruined my parlay but whatever.

I don't know y'all. I've been drinking tonight and I'm bummed because I live this team but our coach is hurting instead of helping. Sucks.

As many of you were starting to get excited about this team, CCC leaked that it's fool's gold as of now. I had a vivid dream last night and it was wild. CCC retired after this season. We made a final 4 and lost to Houston by 15.

Some how Mitch was pressured to make this hire...

Would you take this for the next 5 years? It was a weird surreal dream. I know it won't happened so don't post about that.

SEC Tourney Doesn't Matter?

For Calipari to make this claim should rightfully, open him up to a world of criticism. First, it makes him a hypocrite. While he's happy to soak up all the foundational benefits of UK being a member of the conference, it's an arrogant position to openly claim the conference tournament has no value nor is of any interest to him, but what would you expect from a narcissist? For some teams, who've had a lackluster season, winning the conference tournament is the only path to an NCAA tournament invitation. Considering the overall result of the Calipari malaise on this program, it may be that winning this very tournament could be Kentucky's best future opportunity to gain the same invitation into the tournament that Calipari claims as the only one the matters. It's sad that this man believes his opinion matters to anyone. He continually fails at the highest level on college basketball biggest stage, even though he's been given (not earned) every advantage to succeed. He cloaks himself in every imaginable excuse and when those excuses fail, he resorts to name-calling ... which confirms his failures and validate the criticism. No one is perfect and everyone experiences their own level of failure but the most important lesson that should be learned is humility and a willingness to honestly assess the failures and work to change and correct the missteps. This is where Calipari deserves all the criticism he sees today. The man has no humility, offers no solutions, and refuses to correct mistakes because of some sort of sickening pride that will forever be the poison that undermines the cure. If the trajectory of this program continues under Cal, the SEC tournament becomes more and more important, ironically.
