Why ? they didnt donate to the organization... they just supported the racial justice cause with the slogan. the slogan was around first. football players were asked and they said they didnt know much about the organization, they just support racial justice. dude, its a catchy slogan for racial justice... thats all the majority of people care about. And the proof is in the fact Cal nor the players or stoops and his players have ever talked about marxist, communists things or said racist things. so what on gods earth makes you think they'd support that?

A very fair tale. And I agree with you. My issue with Cal is the system is unsustainable in my opinion, that Cal needs to change, and that he openly says he won't. Therefore, I'm left with no choice but to be done with him. If I knew we were shifting our focus for the next decade away from this model my tune would change.

It's much more than 'racial injustice.' I would suggest they research the founders of the group who have said they are trained Marxists who used a catchy phrase to gain traction. If any college basketball team should be against this movement it should be UK since they're all trying to 'reach their dreams' to get to the NBA. If this movement has their way these players won't be making millions of dollars. Their money will be taken from them and a guy working at McDonald's will make as much as they are. Then we'll see how woke they are.

I can't say that Cal doesn't care about UK, but I do think he's using it as a means to an end.

Because one more year would be THIS year, which looks like it'll be a disaster.
For starters there isn't much hate. It's called criticism and all UK coaches get it. I would say especially those going 1-5 to start the season but I can't say that since it hasn't happened post World War I.
Also anyone would have lifted us from where Billy left us. Cal's first 5 years here were an incredible achievement. We however are not on the same plan that we were then. Cal seems to have completely dismissed his role as UK Basketball coach and instead is a NBA draft advisor. It really looks like he's not even trying to build a team anymore. And by not putting these kids in a winning environment he's harming their futures. The pas 4 years there has been far more Khalil Whitneys than there have been John Walls.
And there is no way UK will struggle getting a good coach. Only about 5 teams out there that can even hope to out bid UK on salary and endorsement value. Maybe 5% of that which can't will have coaches that will stay where they are purely out of loyalty. After that just about every coach out there would saw off his right arm to come here.
