Why The SEC Tourney Matters...A LOT

Because they ALL MATTER a lot. You don't go into games saying the "real" games are later. EVERY time at UK you step on the court you do it to take another teams soul...exhibition, regular season, tourney doesn't matter. You go out to WIN BABY!

IF you say, "this doesn't matter" you are a LOSER!!! They all matter, and sometimes, they MEAN MORE, but they all matter a hell of a lot. Look into those stands full of rabid UK fans and tell me it doesn't matter, we have a grade A LOSER mentality at the head of the program.

Now, it's Championship or get out to town! Bring back a winning mentality at least.

In the last two weeks I have read Rex Chapman and Jack Givens new books...

The difference between the two is startling. The outlook they have on life and the world we live in.
How they describe the time they spent here as players. How they have handled the ups and downs life has thrown at them.
One is a very sad story to me and the other is one of optimism and over all upbeat.
I like to read so I am glad I read both.

The greatest advantage

That these teams have when going against Kentucky in these games is the amount of freedom and nothing to lose attitude they get to play with.

It seems like the players and coaches all feel the collective anxiety and pressure to win these types of games and it has bled off into our play on the court in these past few tournaments.

It doesn't help when the opposing coaches and players go and spout about how confident they are in beating us because they know they have nothing to lose.

We need to come out of the gates and jump out to an early lead with high energy plays and/or a big dunk from someone. I think Thiero is someone to watch early on to get us going with something like that. Cats need to release the pressure early on and NEVER step off the gas.

Why are so many media members so thin-skinned ?

Disagree with Kyle Tucker? Blocked Disagree with Louisville reporter Eric Crawford Blocked.
Disagree with a certain call in show host here in Lexington and you either get screamed over or just get the old 'I appreciate the call' and get cut off.
I think honest open debate is a good thing but those guys won't have it.

Companies who don't pay benefits up front each year

Anyone else work at a company that says "you only get your vacation days when they're accrued each month"? We only get 12 paid vacation days per year. Our company just went to this plan.

They also increased shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift, but have not given raises (except to sups and upper management) in a year and a half to any shift, with no raise in the foreseeable future.

I really don't like this company I've been a part of for over 5 years. My husband has been there for 3 years. Both of us are area team leads. But I don't know ify work situation with pay and benefits is as bad as I think it is.

What are others' thoughts on this here?

Man’s Pet Alligator Seized by State of New York

He says his 750 pound, 11 foot long Gator is tame, and loves people, especially children.

If we outlaw the possession of gators, only outlaws will have gators!!

Cal’s Radio Show

He was asked if he would consider moving Shep and Dillingham into the starting lineup, he said he doesn’t think it matters, but says they will have to find a way to start the game better.

When Kentucky starts getting deeper into the tournament assuming they win, I think this is going to hurt them. If you get down to teams like Texas Tech, Marquette, etc. at the beginning of the game then it’ll be an uphill battle the entire game. I simply don’t agree with him but he’s willing to die on that hill.
