Interesting stats after 19 games

- we have had 42 games missed by 6 total players, and we have yet to be at full-strength in a single game
- we have 8 players averaging 20+ mpg, and 2 more over 9
- Over the 2000's, this UK team (compared to the prior 23 teams) ranks: 1st in FGM, FG pct, 3pt made, 3pt pct, Ast, TO, Pts
- Also, over the 2000's, Sheppard is 1st in 3pt pct, 2nd in Steals, 15th in Ast, 1st in Stl/TO ratio, 5th in Ast/TO ratio
- And...this team has 4 guys (Sheppard, Wagner, Mitchell, Dillingham) in the top 15 in Ast/TO ratio.
- And...Onyenso ranks 4th in Blks while playing less than 15mpg

Lastly, if these are the players to pick from, which are you playing (I know there are other aspects that are important not shown here)?
A) 9.6 pt, 6.8 reb, 1.2 blk, 1.0 stl
B) 11.8 pt, 6.8 reb, 2.9 ast, 1.1 blk, 0.8 stl
C) 9.6 pt, 7.7 reb, 1.5 blk, 0.9 stl
D) 12.7 pt, 3.9 ast, 1.1 stl

J) 18.5 pt, 4.1 reb, 5.1 ast, 1.8 stl

Those are the per30min stats for our guys so far this year.

OT: Congrats and thanks to Jim Master

At the 1984 reunion weekend, he announced he and his wife are donating $1M to UK, $500K to Gatton Business School, and $500K to the UKAA. Sets a great example for many ex players (and other alums) to give back to the school that gave them their start. (Sorry, the link may be behind a pay wall, but you can find the article in the LHL)

Master's generous contribution

Saturday @ Arkansas

Do we win this game? I'm not feeling confident about any road games with the awful performance we put on last night. We face an even tougher environment Saturday at Bud Walton. GameDay will be in Fayetteville for the first time ever, Hogs will likely play their best game of the season, 25% shooters will bank in three's from the rafters, mid game hugs and smiles after ridiculous shots go in, t-shirt night, etc etc. We all know what to expect from SEC road games, but will our guys be ready this time?

Antonio Reeves or Malik Monk…

Which Wildcat is most hated in Arkansas?

Malik dissed the entire state to play for Kentucky and become a superstar after Arkansas fans thought he was a lock to stay home…

But Reeves has killed the Razorbacks two straight years in front of foaming at the mouth packed houses…He’s averaged over 30 points a game in that place that prides itself on making it tough on opponents.

Tough call, but Reeves’ damage is fresher…

I really like what Thiero brings...

Kinda the definition of a "not your night" type game for him, definitely very rusty and just didn't finish. BUT he literally went at Arkansas' throat from the tip after being out so long. He can really slash to the rim and really initiates the physicality. He is gritty and the physicality doesn't phase him.

We need that edge. Give all of Edwards and most of Bradshaws minutes to him and let him refine his game over the next 2 months. Love him at the 4. Weakside shot blocker too. And I think he can shoot the 3 as well as any of the bigs and Edwards even if stats don't show it.
