Asking for Prayers

Most of you know me as BWO or Funchester, the guy who's been bringing you game replays for years. However, today, I come to you not as the guy who brings you replays for guys but as JT, a person facing a challenging chapter in life. I humbly request your heartfelt prayers for my dear uncle, who is grappling with dementia.

Lately, every day has become a poignant struggle as I navigate the complexities of caring for my uncle and supporting my aunt through this difficult journey. Thankfully, the VA hospital has been a beacon of support, shining a light on our path and providing assistance in ways we couldn't have imagined.

In this time of need, I turn to you, my extended BBN family, seeking not only solace for my uncle but also strength for myself and my aunt. I'm asking for the resilience to find peace of mind amidst the daily challenges, the patience to endure difficult moments, and the fortitude to stay mentally strong.

May your collective prayers serve as a source of comfort, enveloping my family in a warm embrace during this trying time. May the support we receive from you guys be a balm to our souls, bringing a sense of calmness and assurance that we are not alone in this journey.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts, your prayers, and your kindness. May they create a tapestry of hope and healing for my uncle, my aunt, and all those who walk beside them.

With gratitude and sincerity,

JT (BWO)

This Fiasco is So Stoops

The way Stoops has handled this is just like his in game Management. Just like only having 10 players on the field. Leaving a receiver unguarded not once but twice in the same game, or poor clock management during the game. Playing Bend Font Break Defense. This is typical Stoops. Going for the Field Goal instead of the Touchdown to put the game away. After 11 years he is who he is do don’t expect him to change.

Football INSTANT ANALYSIS: UK wins 5th straight against Louisville

Tough day for Louisville fans. You start 10-1 in Jeff Brohm's first year, watch Kentucky sputter down the stretch, and then lose on your homefield to them ranked in the top-10. Mark Stoops really owns this series.

Gotta be honest, I picked Kentucky to win, but as I watched the game play out for a while I didn't think they could win the way they were running it. Liam Coen got in his bag and dialed up some serious strikes against that defense. The interception was inexplicable but Devin Leary "did not flinch," as Mark Stoops would say.

J.J. Weaver taking over the game in the second half was absolutely huge. You have to feel great for him given how the year has gone. All three units left something to be desired but all three units came up with big plays when it counted.

Thought Barion Brown grew up some today. Kentucky actually showed pretty good poise.

Kentucky's 7-5 going into bowl season with a chance to get an eighth win. If you get to 8-5 even if the year isn't what you wanted it's not like it was an embarrassment or anything. Lot of teams would love to be 8-5.

Steal:TO ratio

How often do you take the ball away vs give it away?

In the 2000's, UK has had 11 players total have at least as many steals as TOs for a season. That is 1 every other season (average).
1.67 Dom. Hawkins
1.42 WCS
1.32 Davis
1.26 Rondo
1.25 Harrellson
1.23 Aa. Harrison
1.18 Liggins
1.11 Noel
1.10 Hayes
1.08 Grady
1.06 Wallace
1.00 Ulis

I know it's early! But after 6 games we have 5 guys doing this!!!
Mitchell 3.33
Sheppard 2.38
Theiro 1.25
Wagner 1.11
Dillingham 1.00

The best team ratio in the 2000's was Tubby's 05-06 team with a ratio of 0.71.
After 6 games the 23-24 Cats have a ratio of 1.25, almost double the ratio of the prior best season.

Bowl Prediction

Ok, this win was gigantic for us this year. This essentially moves us up 2 bowls by leaping over Texas A&M and knocking UoL out of the top bowls freeing up LSU to take the citrus bowl. However, we have issues with being recently in the Music City Bowl and Gator bowl. Tennessee gets ND in the reliquest bowl leaving us…..still in the Liberty Bowl vs maybe Miami.

Would have been really nice to win that SC game had a shot at ND in the Reliquest.

The LEGEND of Coach Bear Brohm!

Update: I’m not hiding. We’re beating them Saturday. They’re a respectable team, but I failed to predict the ACC would become a glorified mid-major this season. Louisville is #74 in ESPN’s Strength of Schedule. They’ve played 10 of 11 games against P5 teams and their schedule is that garbage. That’s hard to do. We’ve been bad, but we’re keeping what’s ours on Saturday. These boys ain’t nuthin!

We are winning against Louisville.

Kentucky at Louisville

Louisville vs Kentucky is always a game that everyone circles on their calendars due to the history and magnitude of the rivalry. Recently, it’s been one-sided for Kentucky, with huge blowout victories over the Cardinals on numerous occasions and the first thing Jeff Brohm wants to do is take back the state. As someone who’s played in the rivalry game himself, he knows how much this game means to the entire city of Louisville and how bad it feels to lose to a rival. This recently one-sided rivalry is finally coming to an end this season and Jeff Brohm will defeat the Kentucky Wildcats in his first season as the head coach of Louisville.

Prediction: Louisville 34, Kentucky 28.

This season could be one of the best ones Louisville has had in a long time and if they play like how Coach Brohm expects them too, they will represent one side of the ACC in the conference championship.
11-1 is a great record for anyone, but Louisville is in every last one of these games and they could easily win each game we’ve predicted them to. We’ll get a better assessment on what this team is capable of after Friday night.

So that's their new thing. Bear Brohm UNDERSTANDS THE RIVALRY! HE WONT ALLOW THE GREAT LOUISVILLE TO LOSE ANY LONGER! Yet...the author doesn't realize we didn't start the Governor's Cup until 1994 and Jeff's last season was 1993. He never played against us ever.

Now he was an assistant under Bobby when they beat us a few times....but when he got promoted to OC....the ONLY TIME he called plays and had a significant role in the rivalry....it was 2008. He was SO BAD and it might have been the worst performance by an offense in the series history. They were shut out on offense. 5 turnovers. 2 Defensive TDs for the CATS. 46% completion for the Cards. He was so bad that year calling plays that Jurich and Kragthrope FIRED him.

So in honor of the greatest coach of all time, I wanted to give you all a trip down memory lane to the only time Jeff had a role in the Governor's Cup. Because...he UNDERSTANDS the rivalry and will NEVER lay an egg. I want our fans to make sure when the delusional U6 fans start their hypothetical trash talk "Aw well you can't count the last 5-6 years and Brohm is going to win so we have bragging rights!", remind them that he got smashed the last time he called plays. Yes he was OC for WKU against our 2-10 team...but didn't call plays...Bobby did. But he got embarrassed his last Governor's Cup.

Striking Make-up of Final Week College Football Poll...

The final regular season AP college football poll is really pretty remarkable.

Of the Top 13 teams, TWELVE will be playing in the SEC (seven, with Texas and Oklahoma) or the Big Ten (five, with Washington and Oregon) next year.

The lone exception is Florida State and I've seen rumors they'll be SEC bound soon enough.

I'm glad for Kentucky to be on the right side of that divide but it will certainly be a different sport than we all grew up with and loved.
