Green energy sources while not a bad Idea are not as reliable to sustain the energy needed to handle the load needed and I don't think they ever will be able to. It is not bad for augmentation, but I don't think you can ever generate enough power with them.

It also includes portable surface-to-air missiles (MANPADS) in the Pentagon's inventory, a U.S. official told ABC News.
It's not clear how the equipment will be provided to the Ukrainian military. The U.S. official said they can't speak to logistics or timing, but said, "Time is clearly of the essence, so we expect deliveries to start very soon."

Of course every industry will have deaths, but your link shows how safe nuclear energy is when all precautions are taken.
Since Chernobyl in 1986 that list only shows 5 people dying from nuclear energy production. 41 died from medical radiation incidents.
Over 300 US coal miners have died since then(a lot more world wide). From 2008 to 2017 1,566 oil and gas workers in the US died.
