Russia - Ukraine WAR Warning: Political Discussions

Sounds like his efforts in invading the brains of some “Americans” on this board are what have been effective. He must jump out of your closets at night.

To the point: if you or anybody equate questioning what is happening with taking a “side”, let’s be real: you’re a gold-plated dumbass. And there are a lot of you here. It’s reprehensibly stupid. It sounds even stupider after the last 5 years of Russia/Covid bullshit lies, and the Iraq war lies before that. It’s like none of you have learned a damned thing.

Only fools would not question that the same liars are now herding us into yet another war that has no geo-political relavence to our country. But nope. It’s muh, Russia.
Good grief! Covid bullshit? I guess the entire world is in on that one…including Russia. There is practically nowhere in the world you could go that has done less Covid mitigation than the US. Nowhere.
Wasn’t it funny that several of the pied-pipers for the Covid is a hoax crowd died from Covid???

Still waiting for you to present the first piece of factual evidence.
It's been presented, over and over, in several different States. The problem is you won't believe it until the MSM reports it. The same MSM that has lied numerous times the last few years. Hell, you're so naive you probably donated to BLM thinking it would actually go to African Americans in need, bet you blacked out your facebook avatar too.

Guess you had to bring this screen name back out due to others getting ignored and hurting your bottomline.

Bill, please let us know of how you have first hand knowledge of any of this because if you don’t (and you don’t) then you’re trusting some other source of information/misinformation.
You think there was election fraud despite the fact that not one factual piece of information supporting that claim can be presented. It appears you have limited your information input to a very small/narrow band of informants that tell you what you want to hear.
Their various links over the years have been so telling. He and his cohorts look everywhere but western media as their source for "truth" since the Trump playbook has been to wish the others death or dismemberment.

How is what you’re describing in Russia different than what’s happening in the US? I have no idea what’s being reported by Russians, but I know our media has lost the trust of the American people by their actions.

There were no journalists in the video, there have been no journalists at the Ukraine videos either. In fact the US has prevented journalists from being embedded or have access with US troops in Eastern Europe.
Are you claiming that the US is censoring news? It has censored a few people, actually some platforms have censored a few, that ain’t the government. Still plenty of other platforms for information. I mean you making shit up or have a secret VPN that connects you to sources nobody else knows about? You surely didn’t hear it on public airwaves if it’s all being censored.
What news would you like out of Eastern Europe? Are there some clandestine US troops being shielded from public view?
You make claims without evidence. Nobody can ever prove something didn’t happen. It’s a logical impossibility. The burden of proof is on those who claim things happened/are happening.
As for the claim of no journalist in a video…who is taking the video. Who controls the video as to what is and Isn’t seen? Russia has made claims that Ukraine has attacked its own forces, own people yet the people there on the ground tell a different story. We are all “journalists” or have the ability to be so with smartphones and an internet to disperse information. One side is closing off to all within their borders the ability to speak out. Pretty much the rest of the world hasn’t. Yet you want to believe those sources that are tightly controlled…because they have such a good track record of being truthful???
You probably still believe it was Antifa that attacked the Capitol…but then why would Antifa want to block the transfer of power? Why would the GOP not be interested in investigating the events of 1/6 to prove those claims? Why are Trump loyalists not willing to answer questions if they are all innocent? Math I take it isn’t your strong suit because none of that adds up.

Bill, court filings are public record. You can go out and read each and every complaint made. Guess what, none of them claim fraud. Prove me wrong because I know you haven’t read one sentence of a single complaint. It would be very educational for you to do that research. You won’t because you would have to admit you’re wrong.

another day of the rubes believing MSM about Ukraine victimhood. Nothing more than an U.S propaganda push to cover Joe Biden’s war crimes and his dopey son’s crimes
That's so simple minded it's almost shocking. You do realize that Germany and other countries are saying the same things. I abhor Biden but they aren't trying to cover his butt.

Your post deserves a second reply. You clearly think Ukraine isn't a victim in this. I'm curious about your reasoning for that position.

Because the fked around and now they're finding out.
How dare they seek to align themselves with who they want.
Actually what Russia is going to find out that once this whole mess is over Ukraine will be aligned even closer to US/western Europe and will be a NATO member in short order.
You should go join the Russian army, they’re looking for help.

The Chinese can't compete with our navy but hypersonics that aren't nuclear are a complete game changer.
Unless hypersonics knock out Virginia Class submarines at 250 meters deep, the Chicoms will never float a tank 100 miles to the ROC.

We can’t shoot a hypersonic down . . . yet . . . and that might be the main reason we are developing our own.

I give it 5 years.

irrespective of anyone’s position on CV19 -

He does make a very good point about exercising healthy skepticism when our political class suddenly beat the war drums and have no tolerance for dissent

And we ALL should be more mindful about the various forms of BS. that was pumped to the public to gin up support for another far flung military campaign we simply HAVE to support

I like that approach quite a lot

Mmmm.

Six Republican house members broke with the consensus, and have yet to face what the citizens of Bucha suffered for walking down the street.

There are levels of “lack of toleration for dissent:” one involves mass graves and bullets to the head, and one involves warnings placed on tweets.

Take this thread: I disagree with Warrior Poet, but do not intend to kill him, nor does my government. And besides, most of us are now banned from traveling to Siberia, anyhow!!

So i was only looking at a very narrow scope w/that statement urging skepticism vs Govt clamoring for war -

Not sure how to respond to the Bucha thing - am not up to speed there ....i believe it was emerging as some kind of russian linked atrocity or the like -

Don’t understand the “6 republicans and ukrainians walking down the street but” - not seeking clarification - just trying to be thorough with a response to your post — they’ve been worth reading and sifting thru etc

not seeking clarification
I was juxtaposing the bodies of Ukrainians killed by Russians as they walked the streets of Bucha (apparently “for mere pleasure”) to the lack of violence against members of Congress (and even this thread) for dissent.

I find a clear difference between the claimed sins of our government/system and the sins of tortured and slaughtered civilians.

Please, catch up on Butcha! Six members of Congress voted against investigating the incident, which is their right.

The only thing going for you is that you are good at name calling.
You misread the real cause of his anger and angst; a misplaced defensiveness for the lack of a formal education.

Neither you nor I suggested life experiences were unimportant, and I cited one life experience as “being important to my education.”

My Dad had no formal education, but was as broadly read as anyone I have known at the time of his death. He never trusted post-Communist Russia, and frequently said they would eventually go after the Baltic’s.

I will promise to read up on Bucha tonight

You (not JUST YOU of course) should make sure you’re maintaining healthy skepticism about what you’re seeing and hearing regarding the conflict

The ability to fake / simulate or alter those images is on a whole new level ...and there’s apparently a vested interest in getting our hearts and minds invested in another i’ll advised war

i’m not trying to discredit what you’ve taken in and processed - not trying to discredit whatever supposedly occurred there —

Just urging restraint on initial reactions to what’s coming out of that place. ...God i sound preachy don’t i ?

Im wondering what the 6 members rationale was for not supporting an investigation was - depending on how that was couched seems like it could be a lot of things

Hats off to dads

My dad was similar to yours in that way

Very cool, hack-attack

I’ve been thinking about this: shouldn’t it be “comradski?”

I know, “you say tomato, I say tomatoski,” but seriously, they do attach the “ki” or “ky” to a lot of words, like “apparatchiki.”

Droog is the Russian word for friend

Tag-var-ish is their word for comrade - and it’s politically tied to the former communist application and use of the word

I put in about 2 solid years learning Russian and still remember a decent amount -

Yay

Huh?

Where is the Gulag holding those who have dissented?

How many are fleeing the borders of NATO and other Western countries resulting from “no toleration for dissent?”

my comment was directed at the artificial creation of this sort of common understanding that expressing anything other than total opposition to Russia is inherently bad / wrong

Not directed at any individuals here - but i think some in this site are harboring that type of stance

Hope that helps

I read all sides. A healthy skepticism does not cloud clear judgment of evil.

So you have assessed this conflict and found evil only within the actions of Russia?

How far back to do you go and how much information are you taking in to arrive at your conclusions?

for instance - some ppl may only be evaluating this conflict based on what’s happened and how it’s being reported since the current Russian operation commenced

Others may go back to the 2014 era crises and the people involved and are taking that stretch of time into account

Some may go back and include older events or factors in forming their position

What is your cut in date for the information you’ve processed on the conflict ?

not a gotcha thing at all - just acknowledging these variances in info and varying levels of time placed into studying the thing
