So if we do get involved, do you all think that the new focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion in our military is our secret weapon to beat Russia? Probably learned some applicable stuff from that.
Russians will do much more than mean tweet so, some of our military today will not be able to handle it. Biden owns this and the economic problems we had before this. Now, it will get much worse. Putin waited for this for when Trump was gone. Congrats dems.

Antifa is anti-western. They are pro-communist. And you support them. Antifa is made up of young people that seem to want to attack people. There's not a hotter place on the planet for that right now than Ukraine. They can go there, lose a few pounds, come back lean mean fighting machines.
...and they can get help from China if they need it.

You can tell that’s a tough broad. She’s not rattled. Russia may bomb Ukraine into their leaders calling for peace but if it becomes a ground war, I think they’re biting off more than they can chew.
I guess they were planning ahead, knowing they would have to sanction Russia at some point and wanted pipeline sanctions that were previously in place when there was no threat of war.

Take a breather my man. We are witnessing the most significant event in Europe since WW2. We are sharing information here. I am not sure why you feel compelled to attack me personally though. That's not cool and I don't know how you expect to have a conversation when you act that way.
US policy is one layer of a pretty complex subject. From my perspective, my opinion of what we should do doesn't really matter. It makes no difference. What I do think though is that nothing is more important right now than a well-informed public and information is paramount in lieu.
What I think though is not much different than US / NATO policy. US / NATO cannot help Ukraine directly. The only way they get involved militarily is if Russia attacks a NATO country. So, everything else short of war is in bounds to stop further Russian encroachment. You want to know what I think. That's what I think.
Joe and Hunter are making money off of this. In the chaos all of their political opposition there will be killed and all of the evidence against the Bidens will be destroyed. The admin letting Russia do this is payback for turning on the Biden org crime family
I disagree that this is more significant than the Berlin blockade, the Prague Spring reaction, the Hungarian revolution.... probably others. This is inside the former Soviet Union.
There is only one person who is responsible for this war and that is Vladamir Putin. This was unprovoked. You don't send peacekeeping forces into a country that is already at peace. There also are no agreements anywhere that said that Nato would not add new members to the East after the fall of the Soviet Union. In the 90's there was even conversations about Russia joining Nato. Those are all Russian talking points and have been for decades.
I personally never thought it would get to this, but now I believe it is time to start taking Putin at this word. In his speech he gave earlier in the week he spoke specifically about reclaiming the Soviet empire. Given the events of today, the world has to believe that this is a start not an end. This is all going to escalate quickly, and I hope it can be contained before it reaches a cataclysmic level.
On a side note, I think it will be very important to see how Hungary responds to this. They are Nato members, but they are also currently being ruled by an Autocrat with his own visions of grandeur. He may start making overtures about rescuing the Slavs in Romania and we see a new war front open up.

Difference between this and any event you just mentioned is that it's factually the largest military offensive in Europe since WW2. If you can find one bigger, I'd be happy to correct myself.

I don’t know if you’ll ever realize that our leadership sucks regardless of the letter next to their name. Russia has been hellbent on getting Ukraine back. They annexed Crimea in 2014. Should we have gone to a full blown war to stop that? That would have a lot of additional consequences and loss of life. We may still be fighting that war if we put boots on the ground.
What exactly should Biden have done? It’s easy to say it’s on leadership and chalk it up as a win for your political party, but that’s a large oversimplification of a geopolitical issue. Putin wouldn’t have avoided invading Ukraine because Trump asked him to.
