The Christian communities that are already there such as the coptic, Greek Orthodox, Armenian, Ethiopian have been there for millennia. You know the old city has an entire area that encompasses the church of the holy sepulcher called the Christian quarter. There aren’t “new”Christian’s migrating and living in Israel they are ancient sects of Christianity. it’s not your Kentucky evangelicals either. These sects have very little to do with your brand of Christianity and their faith while Christian looks very little like anything in the mainstream beit Catholicism or evangelical Protestantism

He recently said Russia was a victim of "cancel culture" which is a direct nod to our naive Republican extremists who, even in the face of a former KGB agent leading them on by the nose, simply cannot or will nor recognize when they are being had.
The part that gets me the most is they're not even good at it. He's right. It's the only possible outcome. On his final thought, I don't know how easily Putin can do that. If I'm part of the Ukrainian resistance, I'd do everything in my power to kill every single Russian soldier. I'm sure there are tens of thousands more who will do the same. Putin leaving his men there would end up being a slaughter. Putins best move is to simply leave, declare victory back home and quietly lick his wounds.
The world only fears his nukes now and I don't think his people would allow him to kill them and the rest of the world. If he doesn't have that, he has nothing. His military is pathetic and everyone now knows it.
This is what is already happening and it is going to intensify the more the Russians fall back. The Russians are losing every single fire fight they enter into with the Ukrainians. That's why they are backing off and shelling because they literally cannot do anything else and they've basically thrown everything they have conventionally at the Ukrainians and lost decisively on the battlefield so Putin's options are dwindling rapidly. Soon he will be left with no options other than chemical and/or nuclear.
I'd say there is a strong building consensus among his inner circle that Putin must be killed and Putin being the skilled former KGB agent will understand that better than anyone. He will grow increasingly paranoid and perhaps even more delusional. Not especially good traits to have in a man with only chemical and nuclear options left for his very own survival.

that’s what is scary and it’s not just this board either. So many folks, in their support of Trump and opposition to anything left, have adopted Russia misinformation and propaganda as fact. How does its seem so improbable when just yesterday he sat in front of the troops and said that WHEN they got to Ukraine they'd see the carnage. I mean this guy, his party and his voters have changed history in a bad way and were just over a year in !! Sorry for the politics but man.

I have gripes with Biden but he has handled this situation very well. His statements and actions have been direct and with purpose. I also think seeing how weak Russia is first hand has emboldened US/NATO to be a little more provocative with their statements.
If Biden understood he was being countermanded, he'd fire every last person that contradicts him. That he doesn't tells anyone & everyone that he's not in charge of anything.
