Ah. There it is. Can't answer a question so you project. Look in the mirror. I answered your questions as have several here. All without getting emotional and name calling.
I never said I or anyone else is the only one that knows anything, but it is EXTREMELY CLEAR that anyone that only KNOWS OR CHOOSES TO KNOW one side doesn't really know anything. You don't know if you're in the dark or know the truth because you don't want to look at anything else.
How many of the posts that don't agree with yoru take have you read? Or have you just called someone a "comrade" in your head and ignored them like others have? Do you know people in or from Romania? Do you know any Ukrainian people? Would you even listen to them if they disagreed with your one-sided perspective?
If not, who is the 'arrogant ass' ..?
1. There are conflicting reports as to where China stands, so that's nonsensical. Can't be "on their side" when they haven't officially taken one.
2. If you are too ignorant to read what people have actually posted to know that no one here "sides with" Putin or Russia, that's a YOU problem, as it's been plainly stated.
3. We have young American soldiers at sea near Russia and along the border countries with Russia because of what the US government has and hasn't done in Ukraine and against Russia respectively. Daring Russia to go into Ukraine, canceling sanctions that were working, incentivizing them to invade, then funding it instead of cutting off purchases of oil from Russia... what part of that absolves this administration and past administrations of blame? Wake up. This administration wanted this or they wouldn't have acted exactly as they have.
4. According to the US and all news coming in, Putin is "a fool" and "doesn't know what he's doing" and is "losing" so it'll all work out good for NATO and the current Ukraine gov. They'll keep shelling the eastern regions without provocation and killing their own citizens. You should sleep well knowing that.
5. I don't know any Russians to be able to give them aid and comfort. I am however worried about my brothers and sisters in Ukraine and well as those in Romania and elsewhere. I'm concerned this will spread if we enter the conflict since then my family in the military will be in harms way. All for corrupt governments and their deadly games

An important aspect of "winning" any war is to rally the support of your population back home. Posting a bunch of blatant enemy propaganda (unsourced as well) is not "being informed" or shining a light of truth, it is eroding support which directly supports and emboldens the enemy and puts the lives of our soldiers in jeopardy because if this war expands then you don't get an undo for your words.

The damage Russia has done with this and also threatening to seize and nationalize companies shutting down in Russia leads me to believe Putin is at least behaving like this is a zero sum game to him as his positions are catastrophic post Ukraine. All or nothing. We need to take that seriously and prepare ourselves and our country for war. He will respect nothing less. Must immediately ratchet up our posture. What they do we will do. Shoot at us the response is immediate. We will no longer be bluffed by this common thug.
The brings up a good point without meaning to do so. China IS our enemy. So why does Joe, LeBron, MitchMc, the NBA, ETC get a pass on putting China's interests above our own here in the US. Why are US citizens censored for being critical of an enemy? Why is it ok for China to speak publicly in a demanding way that all of our citizens be disarmed, and our people, our leaders say nothing?
Why are we not imposing more restrictions on China for "helping" or "siding with" Russia?
If Joe is refusing to stop importing oil from Russia, he's giving aid and comfort to our enemy when attacking a sovereign nation. Where are the calls for arresting him? Why did we not do so when he removed sanctions against NORD2? Why didn't we take Clinton out of DC in handcuffs for selling uranium to Russia during her time as secretary of state? Why haven't we arrested Kerry for negotiating with and advising Iran when he held no official position to do so?
So many questions. No good answers. Maybe they don't work for us anymore.

Why are you so interested in pointing out what you perceive as the shortcomings of your own country during a time when we are deploying our young troops to Poland in response to the Russians invading Ukraine?
Why are you consistently focusing on the shortcomings of Ukraine as you perceive them when Russia is the invading occupier?
Why in the face of Russia invading Ukraine you are now focusing on China as our main enemy?

Thats the thing. China is an actual threat and we are driving Russia and India into Chinas sphere of influence. Hell.... Iran just shot rockets at us because Russia is negotiating their deal with the US and they were letting us know they don't like us. You get all these countries in an axis power like ww2 and we are in for millions of deaths. I just can't imagine a world where wanting to slow down on the first ww, with NUKES in several countries, is a bad thing.
I just don't get the rationale other than they watched us dog walk Iraq and afghan and just assume this is the same sport.... but its not. Its a nuke sport. We can act like Putin is bluffing but nobody knows. He just needs a couple guys to push a button and millions die in our country alone.
We could beat the hell out of them conventionally. Even with the Russian winter because of our allies and air power. But you have to consider nukes. So do you really want to back a guy with nukes into a corner? If a guy had a gun and said "dont mess with me".... Would you and your friends surround the dude and taunt him? Would you be shocked if he shot 1 or 2 of you?
We are playing a real life game and some of these people are acting like its world of war craft, and if you die, you just get a respawn.
One would guess the Baltics could be next with his desire to reunite the USSR. But could Alaska actually be in play? Sounded crazy a month ago and he has his hands full in Ukraine. No way he expected this much resistance and a united West after years of divisive propaganda and numerous computer hacking's. Yet a cornered animal is a dangerous animal.

He's going to take what we allow him to have. Simple as that. Bluff with nuclear weapons then pick whatever country we are willing to sacrifice. Appeasement is the most failed strategy in history and it will not work now with Putin no matter how many lackeys he has spinning propaganda for their cause.
The problem is he has failed so spectacularly now that he will need to find some way to reset and that could involve a very dangerous gamble that we will cede anything in the face of nuclear threats. We must demonstrate will will not be bluffed by Putin or the consequences will be severe.
Nobody has ever bluffed with nukes in the history of man. The only time a nuke power was called to the floor... they dropped a damn nuke. I hope to god you have family and people you love in the military. And if your trolling I hope you die slowly in fire.
Not entirely true. Nixon sent bombers equipped with Warheads during the Vietnam war to the Arctic Ocean to patrol to try and intimidate the Vietcong and the USSR to end the war on our terms. Was part of his madman diplomacy.
We stopped doing it after about a month bc the Soviets called his bluff.
That wasn't a war it was a prelude to war with a threat of nukes. Same with Nukes in Cuba.
This is the only time in history a hot war with nuke power has occurred. This isn't proxy. People are advocating for US vs RUssia war.
I'm a veteran and I've earned my opinion. I have two dead brothers in the ground with flags on their caskets and I won't be lectured to by some snot-nosed rube desperately out of his depth on this issue. To think we'll just cede Europe to Putin over his nuclear delusions is foolish on its face and as I said, appeasing bullies only leads to more bullying, not less.

We were at war with the Vietcong that were being supported by the USSR. The whole point of that show of force was to get them to end a war in our favor. Not sure what the difference is with the Russians being at war with Ukraine and us supporting Ukraine. Seems pretty similar.
I personally believe we should just keep doing what we’re doing. Joining in would cause ungodly harm to everyone. However, if they attack a NATO country we better be ready. Otherwise the alliance is pointless. Also of the opinion that they won’t be invading a nato country anytime soon. This war has been much more costly militarily and economically wise then I think they were prepared for.

No. But the USSR did. Tell me the difference with what we’re doing with Ukraine and what the USSR did with Vietnam. The USSR supplied the north Vietnamese with weapons and supplies just like we’re doing For Ukraine. Hell the USSR even downed planes And fired missiles as well.
Nixon wanted both of them to back down and they didn’t. I mean the planes flew along Soviet airspace. Just look up Operation Giant Lance.

That is the problem with the SJW types, if you don't agree with their post, you must be for the position he/she/it is arguing against which is just ridiculous. I think we will find as has been for years now all of these supposed experts will be wrong about Putin's end game here. Once that happens, they will shift gears and go on to the next crises or made-up crises and you will not hear another word from them on their position being wrong.
The pro Putin and China accusations are just more of the SJW type mentality where you are demonized (see race card being pulled in other threads) when they have no other position or point to make that makes sense.

False. Questioning the decisions our leaders make is part of what makes this country great. Since I can remember, people have been demonstrating against decisions that are being made which will impact the lives of our people on all sides of the political spectrum. We do come together when we think the cause is just however, there have always been dissenting views regardless of the crises. Your attitude is more consistent with the type of governance Putin asserts of his people: GET IN LINE OR ELSE!
If a person were pro Putin/Russia/China how might you determine that? Maybe by their constant criticism of Ukrainians who are fighting and dying to defend their country from a Russian war crime committing invasion? Or would it be their constant praise of Putin? Or their assurances Putin has some master plan that he is yet to unveil like this line "now all of these supposed experts will be wrong about Putin's end game here"?
Maybe in a post from a couple of weeks ago that poster would be telling us how great the Russian solders were compared to our "snowflake" soldiers because they trained with "live fire" and were vastly superior? Remember that gem? Didn't age well, did it?
Doesn't matter if it is traitor by being duped or paid, if you are giving aid and comfort when our soldiers are in the field in Poland waiting to potentially enter the fight against the very country and leader you are giving aid and comfort to then you are exactly that, a traitor.
