I see Romney out there today saying that Trump has failed in uniting the country. Uhhh, you can’t fail at something you don’t try to do, Mittens. Trump’s entire strategy since 2015 has been to drive a wedge down the middle and hope that 51% end up on his side. If anything, his political acumen should be lauded. He’s done exactly what he set out to do, with the obvious exception of stopping illegal immigration, which continues to post record numbers under his watchful eye.

Is everyone who said "move to Somalia" in response to my libertarian beliefs a racist?

No, but they are weak minded idiots. Of all the moronic things people say nowadays thanks to Trump, the old “if you don’t like it, leave” is perhaps the lamest. I don’t remember Obama or either Bush or Clinton ever saying that. Of course, none of those guys were playing down to a base rooted at the level of Trump’s base.

Well Obama was trying to “fundamentally transform” America and needed the votes of the illegal aliens and people that hate America.

So why on earth would he tell his voting base to leave?

A break from the hate.
Look at those white folks and black folks singing together, smiling and enjoying each others company. No wonder Chick-fil-A is the most hated restaurant in the world by liberals, socialist and commie dems. They can't stand races getting along with each other. They thrive on turmoil and hatred. Sorry liberals but Chik-fil-A is too busy serving customers and smiling to hate. But you can find hate over at the Starbucks coffee shop. .

And I’m pretty confident I’ve always had the belief if you hate America, you should leave rather than trying to change the country away from the principles it was founded upon. That didn’t start with Trump.

The problem, my wise friend, is that in the current political climate, every person who doesn’t bow down and worship big Don “hates America.”

No, just the ones that sympathize with terrorists, label our law enforcement agencies nazis or supported a coup of the duly elected President of the United States.

I don’t do any of those things and have been told to leave a hundred times by some of the crazies on this board.

Trump didn't divide the nation, it was already divided. The only difference is that the whiny ass left was happy prior to Trumps election.

You think claiming a duly elected President is traitor, with absolutely no evidence, might cause division?

It's the houses job to control spending? Yes that makes a lot of sense. If only there was another part of Congress and another branch of government that are needed to pass spending bills. I'm sure Trump and the Senate would just love to massively cut spending. I can't wait to see that 200 billion pentagon cut Trump proposes. Lmao, you so damn funny.

Actually it is where spending bills originate which is also why Nancy has to get the debt ceiling raised. With all your bitching about the deficit you should send her a stern email.

You going to tell us who you are backing? Beginning to think your only schtick is opposition bitching.

There are massive differences, per multiple polls that have been posted here, that show the difference in views toward this country.

No. He's going to do what he thinks is best for America. He doesn't care what people think, otherwise he definitely wouldn't do some of the things he does.

The reaction of course by the far left is in extreme opposition because they intend on making a socialist country overrun with third worlders.

So it's the effect of what he's doing. Not the cause

People don’t get “radicalized” in a few months, which is how long those 2 have been a thing.

PJW also thinks Obama had the kids at Sandy Hook murdered and that Bush faked 9/11. I’m surprised a guy like you who seems smart would be on his bandwagon.

The country was divided well before Trump came along. Trump being elected was a manifestation of that division.

GWB expanded entitlements, added a major govt agency, tried to pass amnesty, etc....and was vilified. McCain was a RINO who refused to even campaign hard against BO and was vilified. Romney was a governor of one of the most liberal states in the country and they ran commercials accusing him of causing cancer. This "Trump is dividing us" is whiny nonsense. Polling out this weekend showed very low support among Dems for the "squad" but they continue to be part of the push of the Dems going farther left because no one will stand up to them...e.g., every candidate raised their hand for free healthcare to illegals two weeks ago.

Those 4 are driving the democratic party off a cliff. They cant see it at the moment because the extreme left is by far the most vocal, so they think this is what their party as a whole wants. It isnt. Anyone anywhere close to center and of course right is anti socialism and all that it stands for. Many in the middle may hate trump because he says mean things, but they are silent and secretly terrified of the extreme left. They'll vote for trump again and not tell a sole they did so.

No, theres this problem with leftists that to them America has to have been perfect or else it's awful. Name a country that doesnt have scars. It's the progress the country has made compared to others, and how it overcame its problems compared to how other countries have.

Omar for instance was saved by America from a war torn shit hole, allowed to stay, given opportunity, and elected to Congress...yet all she can do is bitch about how awful it is.

Beto is at the border telling immigrants who rode rafts made of trash that they just arrived at a hell hole.

Its one thing to say we can always work on things but to completely act like it's a terrible place is absurd. And its what's led to the left completely excusing antifa extremism and advocating for that type of domestic terrorism. Its created this fallacy...where anyone that disagrees with these clowns is now racist or whatever.

Was thinking same thing. I've said for years that if you hate the USA you should leave. Well before Trump was in the WH.
