Lexington used to be pretty good till they employed nothing but felons fresh out the pen. Quality became hit or miss.

And they have barrels of peanuts so you can eat your weight in those and feel like your'e really getting your moneys worth, yaknow?

My experience has been that Chik-fil-A workers both localy and abroad are the nicest and bestest order takers/deliver-ers in all of the fast food land.

And it ain't even close.

2nd place is probably Dizzy Whizz an old burger joint that I'm pretty sure served Lewis & Clark a couple of tasty burgers back in the day down on St Catherine in Metro...but only because dem burgers are really good and pretty cheap and they usually get the order right...but they still slow as eff though.

None of the chains even remotely come close to Chick as far as service goes. NONE.

I used to live 2 blocks away from the Whizz in Old Louisville... what a goddamn shithole.

My FIL used to own the Mayflower on 4th and Garvin. (Home of Buck’s Restaurant) I was the only straight dude in an 11-Story building. Also, the youngest. Average age was 75-dead.

Shame. Seduced by beautiful buildings and StJames Art Fest, I decided to ‘live’ down there on my awesome $17k/yr salary. The housing stock is incredible but filled with ghetto dwellers.

Got my car stereo installed on Garvin for a pint of gin.

Best one around me is White Manna in Hackensack. I can only eat it every 6 months tho.

Pizza, however, is always the zeitgeist. Pizza is off the hizzy up here... another level. If it ain’t dope, the biz ain’t got hope. So many Guinnies with some dough and a dream (and flat deck coal ovens).

Back to the straw convo from earlier, it goes without saying that straws should come individually wrapped. That way you know they are clean and sanitary. I don’t trust those unwrapped straws that come out of the dirty dispenser that everyone flicks with their fingers. Even worse was a place that just had a pile of loose straws in a basket. Everybody fondle all the straws before taking one.

I’m not a big fan of Five Guys. It’s ok. Maybe I just expected too much with all the hype.
