N.O.B.

My love of KY basketball was reignited the past year and I have really enjoyed this past season. I am very excited for our new coach. Especially after witnessing the job he was able to do with zero returning players. With that said, I hope the current state of college sports (professional teams with school logos), in addition to the evolution of the game (how games are being officiated, traveling, fouls...) doesn't ruin it for me. Not being able to follow a team or player for multiple years due to going professional was such a drag.

If Oweh & Garrison stay at UK (I have no idea on the official status of either) it looks like our roster is pretty much set.

- Still room to add two or three players but I think that list above is a pretty solid base. Not sure what’s left in the portal but it would be nice to add another center & a 3 point shooting 4 that can pass.

- I also realize that we are still in the hunt for Ament which would be a great addition.

- Perry won’t see the light of day next season & I doubt Noah sees much action either other than spot duty.

- I think Oweh & Quantaince are the keys to being a legit contender. Need Oweh to stay & need Q to be fully recovered from his knee injury.

I appreciate the summary. I don't have the patience to wade through the rafters to figure this stuff out. Someone on there was talking about BG yesterday and I was thinking wtf does Billy Gillisipie have to do with this team.

The roster is shaping up very nicely. Add one one more shooter and I think we are good. I hope BG doesn't transfer. We need depth and he's that. He's definitely got potential.

I concur. Garrison had some decent moments last season. He does have plenty of potential & now he has some experience in Pope’s system. Then again, he also had some games where I wasn’t even sure that he had played a single minute. But I am optimistic about his progress & I definitely want him back.

Believe it or not…he had the 3rd most assists on the team (in both total and per game). He also shot 30% from the arc. Which is on par with what Chandler, Noah & Perry all shot on a similar amount of attempts. Given, his were wide open/stand still attempts…but still.

He is also a halfway decent post defender. But what impressed me the most about him on that end of the court was his ability to break down & defend on the ball on the perimeter when he got mismatched on a switch. He has deceptively good foot quickness.

@Captain Forehead : visited Leitchfield April 18-22. Dined at El Patron on Easter Sunday. Good stuff.

Fished Kentucky Lake April 19 High water levels, but still caught nice little Small Mouth. Nice long weekend.
Good to hear. Have yet to get a bad meal there. We spent Sunday at my parents house. While visiting, it was discovered they had a water leak in the basement. Spent Monday afternoon cleaning up. Local water levels are still insane.

I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about things. We are taking a vacation next week to go sit on the beach. Imaging appointments and surgery consult are scheduled for when we return.
