MLB Draft Round 16 Last Round

he’s athletic and doesn’t have a bad fielding percentage but i’ll probably stick his butt in left.

I’m torn on a couple second baseman, so hoping @jrpross will make it easier for me. I am not, however, torn on what pitcher I want for number 2 in my rotation. Give me a current pitcher that is fresh off back to back Cy Young awards, and posted a ridiculous 1.70 ERA in 2018. Give me Jacob Degrom. @jrpross you are up
You can tell I don't follow baseball anymore. I've never even heard of the kid.

hey norse it’s “snider”. i don’t want people thinking cory snyder when they glance at that lol.

before 1962 i imagine.

I transposed. It was .342

I was trying to find year by year, out of curiosity, but couldn't. Musial retired in '63 though, so your point is well taken, he didn't face him for most of his prime.

Well, you guys didn’t help at all. :p

I had thought about Duke Snyder, but he was behind a couple other guys. Siiiggghhhh.

Alright....

I’m going with a dude with a .318 career batting average, decent power and 8 gold gloves in center field; Kirby Puckett

Aaaaand I need a lead off guy. Somebody capable of hitting .350 and stealing 40 bases. It may not be the sexiest pick but it’s one I need to make; Paul Molitor

@drcats2013 it’s to you again

Well many of yall are clearly putting more thought into this than I am. For me its pretty simple, pick a position and take the best available guy you can think of. How they meld together in a lineup is more effort than Im willing to spend [laughing] Im just enjoying the process, reading y'alls thoughts, and seeing how everyone's lineup evolves. This was a great idea.

I'm not and you better not take my next pick.

i can’t pass on this guy. .318 lifetime and 25 or more homers 12 times in 16 seasons (and the 4 that weren’t were his first 2 seasons and 2 of his last 3). he’s not willie mays in the outfield but he has a cannon arm and that’s what i need most from my right fielder. this guy was a hell of a lot a fun to watch.

give me vladimir guerrero.

I’m going with a guy who went 24-4 as a 20 year old pitcher, arguably the best pitching season ever. I never watched him play, but in reading about him, it seems he got into issues and career went downhill. Still I’m getting him in that quick prime he had. Doc Gooden

OH COME ON I was just looking at his stats and saying "surely nobody's gonna pick him up this early."

I wondered if maybe he could last another round if I took someone else. Definitely an odd sneaky pick, but dang 24-4 is about unheard of

maybe a little early for the cocaine era but his numbers are pretty solid. he has a high ceiling for a peak at the very least and a good overall record.

You just ripped my heart out. He was my all time favorite non-Red. Hell of a player and it's hard to say about any Hall of Famer, but I feel he was underrated.

Ive drafred 3 guys thus far that were already drafted. I feel like Im owed one here [laughing]
You may have to hold your breath on my next pick. You and I have some similar needs and my choice will be there for me. I wonder if we're after the same guy.

Great pick with Molitor. I’ve always been a big fan of his. Number 10 on the all-time hit list & is the ultimate utility guy with the ability to play almost anywhere. He started at least 40 games at 1B, 2B, 3B, SS & CF.
