Fact: This is a bigger deal to Canada than it is the better part of the United States. Obviously the Kentucky fan base, and what little bit of the Oregon fan base there is, will tune into his announcement, or at least be on the lookout for it, but to Canada, this is their country's best basketball player starting his career. Building a national brand in Canada might be, and likely is the bigger deal to him initially. Obviously if he goes to UK, his brand will expand exponentially, but to kick it off, TSN is the route to go. ESPNU doesn't get as many views as any of the other ESPN networks. It's the biggest sports network in Canada, while ESPNU might be the 4th, or 5th biggest sports network in the U.S.
I think we've got him.
No offense to all others, but this is the only post in this thread that matters. Care to elaborate Mr. Kersey? Please?
getting mixed signals. Two hours ago I got what I thought to be a trump card. One of the UK assistants, in reply to one who asked if they'd get a new player on Wednesday, insinuated an answer by producing a big smile and a wink. Not much to go on, but I took it as a positive. It didn't dawn on me until just now that he could have been teasing because Briscoe is due in tomorrow.

A few minutes ago I get a text that says the friendship that Roger Murray has with Assistant Coach Mennenda, as well as Jamal's friendship with Dillon Brooks, will win out. The guy who texted it might have good information, but he's been wrong before.
So now I don't have any idea, but I'll stick with UK.
So an assistant is going to give a BIG smile and wink when the whole world knows Briscoe is arriving? That's ridiculous.getting mixed signals. Two hours ago I got what I thought to be a trump card. Oregon all the way.
Yeah, I read that as pertaining to Murray, not Briscoe. I also find it kind of weird that one assistant coach would know something about Murray and would kind of keep another assistant in the dark. I mean, if you can't trust that guy with info why is he on the staff? I don't know, I just can't wait until all of this is over and we have a final roster set.So an assistant is going to give a BIG smile and wink when the whole world knows Briscoe is arriving? That's ridiculous.
If Murray goes to Oregon it may be time to offer a fat 3 star ready to commit as a slump-buster. We have the spare ride.
The Mennenda thing has been known for a long time. The flip side is would that friendship deny Murrays son from experiencing big time basketball? Would the dads loyalty to a man deny his son?getting mixed signals. Two hours ago I got what I thought to be a trump card. This! z71 is def in the know. If not for his comment, I would be feeling confident, as I know DK also has good info. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst.@z71sab usually has the goods and he's going Oregon all the way.
Close......Somebody needs to get JM to spill the beans.Someone needs to get MJ to spill the beans.
Yeah, except Matt also said we were in a good spot with Brandon Ingram. The coaching staff might feel optimistic, and we could still miss out on the kid.
this made me die laughing. Am I the only one who thinks Dave is right and all the other nameless people are wrong ?
Totally agree. Jason Spear Mainly.I get a kick out of all these maggard dropouts who know as much as my 3 year old son. Excluding Dave.

I am going to say UK based on his dad's comments about looking long term. No way if that is true he seesa better place and coaching for his future. No place ! I think he finally realized that
Malik Newman said he went to Mississippi State because he thought they could win a National Title for goodness sakes. Kids can convince themselves of nearly anything.I would agree if not for the fact that there have been countless parents of top ranked kids say the same thing through the years and their kid ends up making a decision that was clearly not based on what is the best place and coach for their basketball future.
