I know there are a couple of other threads on this, but I don't want these stats to get buried

from a USA Today article (link) http://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/03/devin-booker-phoenix-suns-70-points-stats-crazy-history-records

1) Broke the franchise record (previously Tom Chambers with 60)

2) Youngest player ever to score at least 60

3) Only the 11th 70 point game in NBA history

4) Most points ever scored against the Celtics (previous highs vs Celtics- Elgin Baylor 64, Michael Jordan 63, Wilt Chamberlain 62)

5) Most points scored in an NBA game since Kobe's 81 in 2006

6) One of 6 players to have scored 70+ points in NBA history (along with Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, David Thompson, David Robinson, and Kobe Bryant [Jordan's highest was 69])

7) Booker has a higher career-high than LeBron James, Steph Curry, Michael Jordan, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Pete Maravich, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, etc ... and every active NBA player

In January I asked who u would take Booker or Monk and 90%laughed it off as a horrible question. Look, Booker is the future of the league and will be a top 10-15 player year after year

The replay is on the NBA channel right now. They need Booker to score 70. Everyone else sucks. Knight and Bledsoe sitting out.

Booker may never be an elite NBA player (like consensus top 5 or whatever), but he's certainly going to be right there for the scoring title year after year. Maybe the best overall offensive player in the NBA.

And he missed his last two shots and a couple of free throws down the stretch! Was a ton of fun to watch. Boston fans cheered when he hit his last 3 from near mid court.

Totally overshadowed another fun matchup of Tyler Ulis and Isaiah Thomas. Celtics-Suns games are gonna be Must See TV from now on.

It is awesome to see Booker have a game like that in the NBA. We all knew the kid was going to be a really good player at the next level. Some questioned his desire on defense at times, but many forget the fact that if you're such a talented scorer as Booker, at times your defense can be over-looked. I'm happy for Booker! The dude just became a member of a special group of basketball players. Even Ball's dad can't take that away from him.

90% of the people picked Monk? I doubt that is true.

In a loss. Final score is pretty significant.

I have a hard time recognizing an accumulated stat as significant unless it was in victory.

Did you watch the game?
I did and Ulis should have been put in for Andrew no later than the 2nd straight shot clock violation. Dekker may have been hurting Booker but Ulis was fine that game. Ulis doesn't let that 3rd violation happen. I love the twins, especially Aaron, but for 3 straight possessions they stood out on the perimeter just pounding the ball into the ground and passing it back and forth to each other. Cal was pretty dumb for at the very least not calling a timeout after the 2nd one. Set up a play so that the 3rd never happens.

That's because Cal told them to stand there pounding the ball. Pretty simple.

BBBlazing, it's true I promise ya. Actually it was about 25 to 2 for monk over Booker.
