Yeah, once the casino was built at Broadway Commons but there was no reason not to keep the current HS stadium where it stands. The empty lot where they plan to move it is just a block away. It simply must be cheaper building the new stadium on public property even if it means tearing down a 14-year old stadium.
Or, you know, the MLS stadium that will hold over 20,000 people may need more space than a HS football stadium.
