Haven't seen anything over last two days. Guess America First is just a nickname for Trump and there are no others.

Yes, I was here today and blown off the top bunk of my bunk bed in the barracks by the first missile. This is where all the foreign legion troops are, the 35 killed were all Ukrainian mostly due to a direct hit on their barracks next to mine. The base is destroyed, the weapons depot destroyed, possibly the end of the legion. About 60 people with their heads on straight including myself left after the attack. They’re sending untrained guys to the front with little ammo and shit AKs and they’re getting killed. The guys who stayed got bombed again in the afternoon and casualties aren’t clear. If you still want to to join them I’m not sure what the process will be since literally all the infrastructure supporting the training/assignments of volunteers is all destroyed. The guys who are there now will all be going to Kyiv and many will die, the legion is totally outgunned and has a few crazy Ukrainian leaders. After the attack one officer wanted to march everyone to Kyiv and fight. Absolute insanity. Stay home.

I didn’t go to Ukraine for the clout. I asked the right questions, deleted my posts, actually bought a plane ticket and brought my ass over. I said in another comment that yes it was 35 Ukrainians killed because their barracks got directly hit. The 180 bullshit is real Russian propaganda. If you think I’m a Russian agent you’re just in denial that the situation is absolutely ****ed. Go ahead and join the legion, by all means, but be very aware of how bad Kyiv is going to get and be aware that Russians have warplanes and you will have next to nothing. Be very acceptant of the possibility of death. Those of us who left, including SF operators from multiple countries, are simply risk mitigating. No one wants to die in an unfair fight, and after getting absolutely ****ing pummeled by massive cruise missiles today – yeah I kind of want people to think twice before turning their life upside down to go and volunteer.

Like a lot of dudes there have experience and really wanted to shape the battlefield and impact their advance, but ultimately they’re manning frontline positions that are going to get hammered with artillery and airstrikes, buried under rubble and your family never gets your body. That’s when a lot of guys say yeah this isn’t our fight, not like this.

It's frustrating seeing real news from both sides that neither propaganda govs will report because it doesn't sound good enough for their cause. Tanks, weapons, and Ukrainian army personnel in residential neighborhoods. Can only see damage and not who is sending it. It's a cluster.

Can't link anything foreign on this site. Can't link anything from Twitter before it's deleted. Can't link independent sites that aren't yahoo or Google approved. No one in this country is going to see anything but theater or from a mile away. Seeing Ukrainian soldiers pulling people from their cars along humanitarian routes is disturbing. The whole thing is the chaos you'd expect.

Since I can't link the independent international video I can see online here in this forum, there's no point in posting. I'm gonna leave yall to it.

Since no one can examine all sides completely, or even ALL sides incompletely, they therefore can't do it dispassionately or any other way, so everyone must be for putting US troops in Ukraine. That's the logic of you post.

Nearly 20 years after Iraq and it is unbelievable that so many still fall for the same shit.

Ok, well, we have a major and supposedly powerful country invade a small very poor country and it is blowing it to rubble along with indiscriminate attacks on schools and hospitals killing women, children and other civilians. They are doing it with the intent to create terror. On the other side you have a small country that did nothing to harm the major country. They did try to join NATO, a defensive organization, to protect themselves from their attacker and the attacker is using that as a reason to invade and kill them even though other border countries are members of NATO and as such, nothing has happened to the major country.

Am I missing something?

Edit: I forgot this. This is Putins quote as for the reason of the invasion, "demilitarisation and de-Nazification" . Ukraine, as a sovereign nation, has every right to militarize, it's none of Russia's business. The number of neo-nazis in Ukraine is ridiculously low, probably about like here. They exist but no one cares. At any rate, that isn't a reason for this invasion and with any luck the sanctions against Russia will drive them to the point of collapse.

You left out quite a bit, mainly the historical component. Russia sees Ukraine as Russian. Nothing that we in the West can say will change that. As horrific as this all is, the forces that put this in motion began way earlier than NATO. So, it makes no sense to think that becoming involved will change that.

We can understand that without it meaning that we endorse what’s happening.

We ESPECIALLY ought to avoid the same American mistake that we make too often- assuming that our involvement can fix global problems that predate our own country.

Irrelevant and in no way does what Russia thinks change anything. Ukraine is a sovereign nation that harmed no one. It even went so far as to sign the Budapest Memorandum https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budapest_Memorandum_on_Security_Assurances
which Russia has flagrantly violated. Just because Russia has its panties in a wad doesn't mean squat. No one cares if Russia thinks Ukraine belongs to them, it doesn't. Understanding that Russia wants to steal land that doesn't belong to them isn't necessary unless you want to hold Russia accountable.

I've heard at least 3 different versions of China's stance on the Russian operation, maybe 4, but all from "reputable" sources. I'm lmao.

All of this contradictory nonsense makes me think WE'RE the ones about to be attacked at home. They're probably waiting for us to send troops there before they do. Good grief

Do you understand that it’s possible to hold Russia at fault and still realize that a lot of info coming from Ukraine is horse shit?
They desperately want NATO or the United States to intervene, pushing BS narratives is one way to do that.

Is Ukraine a sovereign nation?
Did Russia invade Ukraine?
Is Russia destroying as much as they can?
Is Russia killing civilians?
Has Russia targeted schools and hospitals?

You can't answer no to a single question.

The problem starts with question 2. By question 5, you should be enraged without any concern of why Russia is there. If not, you're either a Russian apologist or a pathetic human being.
