Russia - Ukraine WAR Warning: Political Discussions

That's fine. We were specifically referring to what the other article said.

Kind of how all this Ukraine stuff goes for you warhawks. Exercise zero critical thought and believe what the politicians tell you.

I’d prefer not to be in the position Germany is in, regardless of what the Chancellor guarantees. But I guess Germany is still better off than the smaller countries it’s pricing out of the markets.

Don't be obtuse. There was no critical thinking involved other than that which Jack lacked. We were talking about the specifics of an article that was posted. We never mentioned going outside that article for opinions. That was never the issue.

Germany has taken steps to end this problem and will likely have the abiiity to bring in the LNG that they need over winter. They were foolish for being so dependent on a rogue country like Russia.

I guess you're one of the ones who doesn't care what Russia takes so long as it isn't your recliner and beer, am I right?

I think it was pretty clear Jack was talking about reality.

I don’t care what Russia takes so long as it’s one of the most corrupt countries in the world with no strategic value to the US.

Quite frankly if Russia absorbing Ukraine would disrupt the laundering operation the establishment US politicians have going on, I’d prefer they take it.

Interesting. Can you describe this laundering operation? I've asked several times before and get crickets.

My apologies. I keep forgetting not to ask my questions in Greek. Not everyone understands Greek. No wonder you guys never answer.

Stupid me.

That is not what it said. You're such a lazy liar. At least try harder. There were no "ifs". To quote, "Energy security for this winter is guaranteed,".

They also didn't mention an unsustainable cost.
Lol. Yes. THIS winter. Not the winters that come after THIS winter. That part was unsaid but no less real. This is not lying, it’s called “inference”.

And yes, it was pretty clear they paid much higher rates to get through THIS winter, which again, is not sustainable for one of the world’s leading economies.

Back to that huh? I do participate. I encourage my elected officials to fund Ukraine's efforts. Now, crawl back in your hole for a couple weeks.
Lol. So brave!

How many kids have been killed for some Ukrainian acres that don’t mean shit to any of us? The south Vietnamese liked their land, too. At some point, smart people realized that their land had nothing to do with our interests.

Top European officials are furious with Joe Biden’s administration and now accuse the Americans of making a fortune from the war, while EU countries suffer.

“The fact is, if you look at it soberly, the country that is most profiting from this war is the U.S. because they are selling more gas and at higher prices, and because they are selling more weapons,” one senior official told POLITICO.

...

As they attempt to reduce their reliance on Russian energy, EU countries are turning to gas from the U.S. instead — but the price Europeans pay is almost four times as high as the same fuel costs in America. Then there’s the likely surge in orders for American-made military kit as European armies run short after sending weapons to Ukraine.

...

The diplomat argued that a discount on gas prices could help us to "keep united our public opinions” and to negotiate with third countries on gas supplies. “It’s not good, in terms of optics, to give the impression that your best ally [laughing] is actually making huge profits[winking] out of your troubles :uzi: ,” the diplomat said.

Oh dear, Vlad.

"Russia is firing ageing cruise missiles stripped of their nuclear warheads at Ukrainian targets because Vladimir Putin’s stocks are so depleted, the Ministry of Defence has suggested.

An intelligence update from the British MoD on Saturday said the desperate improvisation by the Russian president’s struggling forces are “unlikely to achieve reliable effects”.

The evidence cited is pictures of apparently shot down AS-15 Kent air-launched cruise missiles, which were said to have been designed in the 1980s as a nuclear delivery system."

US Taxpayer money politicians can’t use personally, so they send it to Ukraine/Zelenski who either make direct payments to families of Biden, Pelosi, Romney, etc. or funnel it through the MIL and back into campaign coffers or used to fund future do nothing jobs or board seats.

The fact you are to slow to figure that out sheds some light on your inability to exercise critical thought when it comes to Russia and Ukraine. And why “poutin Putin” is the most clever retort you can come up with.

They’re using them to scramble Ukrainian missile defenses not bc they are low. Do more reading on the subject. I mean it’s not like every British media outlet isn’t tabloid right?

Since almost every source disagrees with you. How about sharing your source. Do you have the courage to do that or do you know you're lying?

Only way these people get treated this well is if we pay for it.

The Ukrainian government certainly wouldn't do jack for them. That's inarguable. Why exactly should we continue to fund this bloodshed? No, spare us those lies about "democracy;" these people don't practice it and know nothing of it. None of this genuinely matters save all the lives and families being ruined for generations; the perpetuation of hatred and ignorance at the meddling hands of arrogant so-called elites. It doesn't actually matter to anyone here in the west other thanwho will do the profiteering, who will get their chicken-hawk fantasies fulfilled, vicariously experiencing courage they never would've themselves been able to muster... complete losers who know nothing of the world as it actually is, wrecking lives with their ideological hubris.

^Let me get this straight: Putin levels Mariupol & kills thousands there and is now rebuilding parts of it, so I should think Russia & Putin are better than Ukraine who didn't smash it to smithereens or kill anyone to begin with? I have that right?

If gutting your industrial base to survive winter is good news.... Don't tell us the bad news.
That's not good news. But realizing Russia can't ever be trusted again after Merkel's bs is a great thing. Getting their ship righted is painful but necessary. Net, good for the Germans toughing it out.

You make sh!t up w/o quoting anything.
Just because your lazy and read your echo chamber articles doesn’t mean I “make shit up”. It’s up to you to go find the info not my responsibility to educate you. I mean if you missed this and then insult me it’s because youre ignorant and lazy.

“UK Intelligence suggested that though such an inert system will cause some damage through the missile's kinetic energy and unspent fuel, it was that such missiles would achieve reliable effects against intended targets. “Russia almost certainly hopes such missiles will function as decoys and divert Ukrainian air defences,” the Ministry tweeted.

Even the half assed propoganda article you linked vaguely mentions the intent of using much missile. Man you’re such a tool. Did you not read the article? It’s just another example of glossing over the truth in order to feed your propaganda filled lies.

“The MoD said the nuclear warheads had probably been replaced with ballast, with the Kremlin’s hope probably that the missiles will distract Ukrainian air defences”

Which source disagrees? Oh the one vhcat linked that you did not read? Hmmm. You and your ignorant crew! The ones who should pick up their muskets and take your ass to Ukraine and fight for them instead of your one liner attacks towards Americans.

Here’s more from British mod twitter. Read it all not just what fits your belief. It completely backs up what I said and it’s the last time I link anything. If I say it going forward the burden is on you to find it. I mean I’ve seen some sheep in my life but nothing like you and vhcat to be specific. You guys are the village idiots you just keep coming back for more. But now I must put you back to ignore bc it’s impossible to engage in educated discourse with the uneducated.

We all seem to have gotten so wrapped up in the propaganda from both sides I have no idea what is going on. Are we in a lull right now in the fighting due to winter weather conditions? Is there any talk of peace negotiations? Does anyone have a straight news source that just reports on the current fighting? I’d appreciate if someone could give me a link if there is one.

There isn’t one. Western media is all propaganda and Russian the same.

Maybe try Al Jazeera. Probably going to be the closest to objective but still there are biases.

Um, what is it you think I should read? I only see what agrees with me.

No on negotiations. Zelensky has said it will be impossible to negotiate with Russia with Putin in charge. The British seem to be on top of information as much as anyone. I don't think there is "straight news source" that has access to untainted information. We know the Russians lie constantly. I'm sure the Ukrainians do a lot of lying as well. However, you can start to form opinions with data coming from the ground, cities being taken, satellite surveillance and so on.

Russia is in a lull due to missile output from their factories but that is very temporary. That said, I think I read where they are having trouble with some components needed to build the missiles. Without missiles and long range artillery Russia doesn't have much left other than an unmotivated, under supplied, untrained military.

Ukraine has proper winter clothing. Apparently the Russians do not. The next 3 months are probably going to be horrendous for the Russian troops.
