I'm an Evan Williams Black Label basic b!tch, as I've said here before. I've had more expensive bourbons, and they just don't taste any better or any smoother than EWBL IMHO, especially for the price.
I used to be a vodka guy, but same as CR I switched to bourbon about 3 years back. Have tried vodka a few times since and come to realize how bad it tastes, straight or mixed.
Russia is going to get more brutal the longer this drags out. The longer Ukraine holds out, the more support they'll garner worldwide. If they can make it through the weekend without Kyiv being taken, they might pull this off.

Speaking of vodka, and directly relevant to this thread: Khor Platinum, a wheat- and corn-based vodka distilled in Ukraine, is available here in the USA. Bargain-priced with decent reviews. Couple months ago, I purchased a bottle. Not bad. Plan on buying another bottle soon.

You said it was supply and demand that determined "short term pricing" when that isn't true. Demand was higher during the last admin and prices were drastically lower than they have been since the election and an ENTIRE YEAR where demand had fallen DRASTICALLY and supply was readily available.
Supply hasn't dwindled. We could still be a net exporter instead of relying on imports at all. Yet we aren't. Essentially, prices went up because our perceived influence in the market waned before anything truly changed. There was no physical supply and demand factor. It was simply companies and countries raising prices because they felt they could.
While I hope something like that pans out, I don't think there's any way this doesn't end without Putin installing his own puppet regime in Ukraine, at the very minimum.
The only real question is how many lives are lost and ruined, and whether or not this sets WW3 dominoes in motion.
