Gavin Newsom depleted the brush removal funds to put towards "green initiatives", that's why home insurers pulled out of the state.
There's a shortage of fire personell because it's impossible to get hired quickly unless you are a woman or person of color
People in California voted on a bill to transfer water. Newsom ignored it.
California hasn't built a new reservoir since 1979
Joe biden canceled planned controlled burns
The mayor of LA cut the fire budget by 20 million and put the focus on DEI to hire a female only chief, not an experienced professional
The infrastructure of California is outdated from an electrical line stand point, instead Newsom funneled alotted funds to his wealthy donors for favors

Deep down, and this may be wishful thinking, but I think a lot of the C-suite folks at these giant companies want to get back to normal, but they are being strong-armed by the BOTs to do all the green stuff. I HOPE Trump being elected again and the giant social media tycoons seeming to want to get in line will give them the courage to push back on the sh*t that’s cost their companies a lot of money for no reason.

It was a prosecution where the outcome was preordained for a number of reasons. Lots of weird , unusual stuff about that trial. I do think if the victim had been white and there had not been riots and so much publicity, that testimony and other things may have been different and he would’ve been acquitted totally, or charged with something lesser.
Justice should be swift. Slowly set on fire, then stopped just to feel the pain, and do it again until his will breaks and his body is crispier than Anakin.

I get that, but why weren't these items addressed during the trial? If true that the judge simply didn't allow it or the prosecutors withheld evidence, then the verdict should be thrown out (remanded??) and new prosecutions against the judge and prosecutors should be initiated.

I’m just guessing that the thought of what the riots would look like if an acquittal occurred was at the forefront of pretty much all the court’s and prosecution’s and jury’s decision making.
The Earth has warmed, and cooled, cyclically for thousands of years. Weather patterns are not constant. Unwillingness of liberal minded people to accept these realities and implement proven strategies to mitigate the risk of wildfires has produced the results we have today.
Which strategy do you think would have been most likely to minimize the risk of catastrophic wildfires in LA? Embarking on some fantasy of stopping the eons long cycles of the Earth warming and cooling by trying to control the carbon emissions in every industrial nation on the planet? Or doing some proactive controlled burns in these high risk areas, clearing the brush that serves as a tinder box, and ensuring an adequate water supply is available for fire fighting crews?
Naturally the libs in LA couldn’t bring themselves to engage in the most common sense solutions.

All of those things may or may not have impacted this disaster and contributed to it.
