I agree that was likely a factor, if not the deciding factor. And I find that unsatisfying. I get it would be bad, but you have to do the right thing and not allow an innocent person get jobbed. again, not arguing or disagreeing ... in fact I agree. But unsatisfying.

Look at it this way: if you can’t get an acquittal of a cop in a murder trial where he apparently performed a procedure that his own department taught and trained him on, and the decedent is a career criminal, consistent drug user, had medical issues and a drug cocktail in his system which together were either the primary or significant contributing cause of his death, and not to mention clearly failed to comply with reasonable police instructions over an extended period of time, well……….

I didn't read it, but it sounds insane. Immunity means immune from even suit or prosecution, not just immune from punishment. As you said, sounds like another appeasement ruling by those clowns.

I was watching a live feed of one of the LA television stations when that happened. All these 'professional journalists' freaked out.

I don't believe there is precedent for this type of situation. Also, Roberts is the justice who wrote the immunity decision that gave Trump the immunity argument in the first place (and Barrett concurred) so the social media outrage and calls for their "removal" is dumb.
