So people are ok with being against the media because they are pushing Gary Johnson into submission to save Hiliary, but can't understand why trump supporters want a fair media?

Does anyone really like where Obama has us positioned right now? Does anyone see either Trump or Hiliary making it better? If so why?

Thats not how taxes work. You dont pay based on wealth, you pay based on income. Either youre too dense to understand that, and should restrain from discussing it; or just promoting misinformation.

You are the one who is too dense to understand taxes and need to refrain from poisoning other people's minds. Wealth is most definitely taxed. For example: Wealthy people generally possess more land, and therefore pay more taxes on that land. Wealthy people generally own more real property, and pay more taxes on that real property. Wealthy people generally consume more, and pay much more taxes through what they consume, not only on an individual level, but also through their businesses, which if they own such a thing, they might even be subject to a nasty little tax called a "payroll tax", but you wouldn't know about any of those things because you are too dense to understand these things, as you have publically confessed to an ignorant belief that wealth is only taxed through a tax on income. Which is monumentally INSANE!

THE RICH HAVE FANTASIES OF PEOPLE LIKE YOU . . . where all forms of taxes are abolished saved for only a tax on income, as nothing would propel them to maximized wealth more.

edit - ordinary people can continue to drink the Kool-Aid served to them by the liberal think-tank . . . that the primary system of taxation applied to them (tax on adjusted gross income) must be the only form of tax applied to the EVIL RICH. Drink it and LOSE. Tax on income itself is a wretched evil, and should not exist, as by itself does nothing more than punish your ability to be productive. The only forms of tax which are fair to all levels of social class are taxes applied to what you consume and what you possess. The rich consume more, and will pay more based on this principle. the rich own and possess more, and will pay more based on this principle. Eliminating a tax on income is THE ONLY WAY to eliminate the IRS. It is the ONLY way to down-size federal government. Supporting it is the ONLY WAY to continue moving further and further toward the gap between poor/middle and Rich. There will NEVER BE a society of a middle class without a lower class. Stop believing that it is possible to have something in the middle without have something at both sides. Like a foot long ruler with numbers 4, 5 and 6 that can measure all the way to 12-inches without the numbers 1 and 2 . . . pure, idiotic, fantasy.

At what point will a rank and file FBI agent break rank and call BS on the entire Hillary investigation? I've been privileged to know a few FBI agents over the years and they are great people and incredibly dedicated. Maybe that's what's happening now.

  • not paying any income taxes on billions of dollars of net worth is ok. He pays other taxes, just not taxes that fund roads, schools, police departments, etc.

that picture shows you what getting plenty of sunshine will do . . . and probably also waking up only when a body is ready. Not that Sammy isn't still a nite-owl, but I bet he gets out on the boat, does some fishing, hangs out on the beach, prefers a game of softball over a short round of golf in heavy overcast.

Candidates releasing tax returns is just a scam to keep outsiders/non politicians out of politics. Career politicians spend their whole lives structuring everything, including tax returns to look electable. If any of you truly believe politicians main source of income is their salary then youre not too bright.

An outsider does not spend their lives worrying about this.. so any outsider candidates tax returns will look different.

In other words, its all a sham.

Russia clearly trying to tamper with our election to get Putin's bromance buddy Trump into office and the right wing nuts claim it is no big deal.

A legitimate mainstream newspaper publishes a story about one of the leading candidates taking a multi-million dollar business loss and then escaping paying taxes for 18 years and it is just them trying to rig the election?

You guys are tools. Seriously. Just should stop participating in democracy if you love your country and don't want to further inflict your stupidity upon the rest of us. Thanks.
Russia stole my girlfriend.

A very successful businessman/woman with multiple interests would never want all of their financial accounts disclosed for multiple reasons including competitive, strategic takeover/selling of assets, tax strategies, and most importantly non-disclosure agreements with other entities. I'm a financial nothing...and I have small holdings/stock options in a few former companies that I can't make public. Can't imagine what Trump, Mark Cuban, Ross Perot, etc. would have to deal with.

Just saw Clinton say on TV that she will now tax businesses who outsource jobs. Taking another plan from the Trump playbook? How many times has she completely flip flopped to follow Trump's lead?

If he's the inexperienced one, the one who has no clue on how to run the country, then why does his experienced, best fit for the office opponent keep following his lead & adopting his "disastrous" plans?

Congrats on typing a whole page and proving you know nothing about how taxes work.

Fwiw, I do agree taxing income is stupid, regressive, and counter productive. But to argue that point as a reason why trumps tax returns matter just makes no sense at all.

I'm surprised it took this long to know that Bill has a love child. There was due to be one with all the women hes messed with.

This came out around 4 today (at least that's when I saw it):

Wikileaks has abruptly canceled a much-anticipated announcement on Tuesday, according to NBC News. The announcement had been expected to be founder Julian Assange’s long-promised document dump on Hillary Clinton.

NBC’s Jesse Rodriguez reported that the Tuesday announcement — which was to come from the balcony of London’s Ecuadorian Embassy, where Assange has sought sanctuary for years – was canceled due to “security concerns”.

Now they're saying it's not cancelled, just moved inside because of security concerns. Supposedly will be released tomorrow. Guess we shall see.

Are you illiterate? Yes, you are. I wasn't making the first argument about Trump's tax returns, one way or the other, never typed his name. I couldn't care less about what he does with his tax returns than I do already. And the reason you don't understand how wealth is taxed is because you don't understand how to achieve it, much less the tremendous effort required to sustain it for multiple generations.

Huge outcry from the left about Trumps taxes yet very little about the corrupt Clinton Foundation that is a complete sham. They ripped off Haiti to the tune of many millions of dollars. Corruption at its best...http://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/15/us/politics/hillary-clinton-haiti.html?_r=0
Did you even read your own linked article?
Funny that you would link one of those "left wing rags". When you call something a sham then you need to provide some proof thereof. The article linked has nothing to do with the Clinton Foundation which in fact has been investigated time and time again and the only questions have been with regard to pay for play and not the charitable work the foundation has done.

Donald Trump's leaked tax returns help explain why he wants to end the estate tax

"That is, Trump seems to have cleverly used the tax code to delay a lot of taxes. But if he becomes president, he can find a way for him and his family to avoid ever having to pay tax on a bunch of the income he's earned over the decades."

It's not true. It's a fake leakage.

Never happened.

If Hillary's leaked treason crimes showing $25 million in saudi Arabian bribes isnt true, then donald trumps leaked tax return is 100% bullshit

Journalists SHOULD be investigating candidates. But should be investigating both, not just one.

Hackers wouldnt be required if MSM would do their job.

Thats not how taxes work. You dont pay based on wealth, you pay based on income. Either youre too dense to understand that, and should restrain from discussing it; or just promoting misinformation.

Noone says DT didnt cheat. But Bill is the biggest womanizer since Wilt Chamberlain. So that argument doesnt hold water.
Are you aware of who brought to light the Clinton private email server?
Hint: New York Times.

You also need to question as why the "hackers" are only hitting one side. Are they being paid by somebody? What would we found if the hackers were invading both sides, not just one?

It is laughable that you think that journalist are only looking at one side. If they aren't reporting something then perhaps it is because there is nothing there to report. Or they did report it...months, years ago and have since moved on. It is also sad that you and others think that sources like Breitbart and the kind are interested in giving you factual, non-biased information.

Wikileaks was posting leaks even during the Bush administration. They began under the Bush administration.

I am for all corruption being exposed from both parties, which Wikileaks has done. Its wrong to say they've only hit one side.

Hillary's new gotcha line that she's stumping with for the last few days - "What kind of genius loses a billion dollars in a year?"

If she tries to bring it up at the next debate, Trump should respond with - "One smarter & more competent than the genius who 'misplaced' 6 billion dollars during their tenure as Secretary of State."

Yep. No way the average voter understands the nol and why someone would use it. They just think trumps a tax delinquent, which was the purpose of the story
No. You have clearly missed the issue. Trump has complained about other wealthy people not paying taxes. Nobody has claimed he did anything illegal, just that he once again has been exposed for being severely hypocritical.

Wikileaks <> all hackers.
I too am for all corruption being exposed.
I thought that the Bushes and Clintons were all on the same side?

Wrong.

Less than 10% actually goes to "charitable works"... the rest is salaries and "administrative costs". :flush:

BTW: pay your bet, welching piece of monkey feces.

Latest installment in "Campaign Malpractice", filed under the "Why Ground Game Matters" chapter:

I could have sworn that when Republicans set records last week & registered 200k more than Democrats, the Democrats all assured us that it was no big deal & that just b/c they registered Republican doesn't mean they're all voting Republican. Fair point.

But, I guess now that it's Democrats with more registered voters this week, Democrats will say the opposite as last week & say that every single new registered Democrat will 100%, without a doubt all be voting Democrat?

Wrong.

As much as I hate to wade into the cesspool here, you are incorrect:

"Fiorina and others are referring only to the amount donated by the Clinton Foundation to outside charities, ignoring the fact that most of the Clinton Foundation’s charitable work is performed in-house. One independent philanthropy watchdog did an analysis of Clinton Foundation funding and concluded that about 89 percent of its funding went to charity."

Nope.

For an organization that is supposedly a charity, the Clinton Foundation spent very little money on "direct aid." IRS documents showed that the Foundation raised over $500 million from 2009-2012, and yet the Clinton Foundation only spent $75 million on "programmatic grants."

"The other $425 million was allocated as follows: more than $25 million went for travel expenses; almost $110 million for employee salaries and benefits; and $290 million for 'other expenses,'" reports Discover The Networks.

These numbers were similar in the foundation's 2013 tax returns, which revealed that the Clinton Foundation raised over $140 million but only used $9 million in direct aid, according to the New York Post:

On its 2013 tax forms, the most recent available, the foundation claimed it spent $30 million on payroll and employee benefits; $8.7 million in rent and office expenses; $9.2 million on “conferences, conventions and meetings”; $8 million on fundraising; and nearly $8.5 million on travel. None of the Clintons is on the payroll, but they do enjoy first-class flights paid for by the foundation.

In all, the group reported $84.6 million in “functional expenses” on its 2013 tax return and had more than $64 million left over — money the organization has said represents pledges rather than actual cash on hand.

Indeed, Form 990 shows that the Clintons used the money raised by the foundation to pay for their travel expenses, which included "travel by charter or in first class."

"The Clintons get nothing from the foundation except free travel on chartered jets and first-class airline seats and hotel stays and, oh yes, control over a giant operating budget to steer to the charities and good causes that they prefer," writes National Review's Jim Geraghty. "Practically nothing!"

89 percent went to "charity" in that they spent the money in-house, with their people on their programs, thus making it impossible for outside auditors/investigators to measure the success, or track the money (in the billions).
