Amongst healthy people this is no more fatal than the flu. It is much more contagious now because of where it is: in a city that has mind-blowing population density. Had Ebola broken out in the same area, the number would be much higher.

Part of their underreporting is due to their bizarre refusal to show weakness. If it was really as bad as msm says, people elsewhere with it would drop like flies. Anywhere with decent medicine (to treat symptoms) will be perfectly ok.

Part of one my companies distributes disposable safety supplies ie gloves/hairnets/shoe covers etc including facemasks to industrial, manufacturing, food manufacturing (not medical) sectors. 95% of that crap is made in CHJINA. All shut down. I’m on allocation at the moment so my manufacturer isn’t out but it’s coming....no slow boats enroute. Face masks freaking disappeared a few weeks ago, govt snapped them up.

Anyways, if they don’t open soon it’s going to be a total shit show here in food manufacturing....color coded disposable safety PPE to keep from cross contamination and pass govt inspections/audits would go out the window.....there’s just no way to get US ppe production up and running that quick and the $$$ sheewwwweeeeee.

Some European countries have more millionaire per capita than the US...and others have similar rates. Nearly 1 in 10 in Switzerland are millionaires.

In two years there were a total of 28K cases and 11,000 deaths. In one month we have seen 83,000 cases, 3,000 deaths to date from COVID-19.

And you shouldn’t listen to . The flu has a mortality rate of .1% or 1/20th that of this virus. Extrapolate that out...if this strain becomes as wide spread as the flu from this past year then it could kill 280,000 people world wide.

Ebola was highly fatal but not highly contagious. This is highly contagious.

You have no clue whether Covid or flu is more deadly. For one thing, various flus have different mortality rates. & no one has a handle on Cv19 mortality rate & whatever it is, nor it's dependence on the location - population density, weather, population health, etc. Just STFU until you know anything - meaning forever.

There was a Chinese study of 72k cases of coronaV, the overall fatality rate of the study was 2.3%...there were no fatalities in children 9 or younger...15% fatality rate for people 80+, 8% 70+, elevated risk for people with pre existing conditions...in the epicenter, Wuhan 2-4%, everywhere else in the world less Iran .7%.

China and Iran have had the worst problems.

SARS was 9.5% fatality rate.

OK, but if CV19 is more readily transmitted, total deaths could be higher.
