I own several paint stores in SW Florida and we had a guy go to all my stores a few weeks ago and buy every dust mask we had. My genius sales people actually cut the guy a deal. When I asked them later why they did that and told them they are selling for $50/each on eBay they literally had no clue.
What can you do? That’s retail for you. I think I still have some tho and I may put them on eBay. From what I saw they are selling for that much but they don’t appear to be selling a lot of them. If this thing persists some smart American will convert his factory to making the damn things. At the current markup the overhead of Chinese labor is negated. I work with 3M and they are the worst company in the world someone should give them a run for their money just on principle.
Yes, true. Admission is merit based. Unis at Heidelberg and Göttingen are extremely selective. Others so-so. My son, a German national, attended trade school after high school because he could not qualify for Gymnasium. He focused on logistics. During trade school, he served 3 years as an apprentice and earned $500/month, cheap labor for the employer. After graduation, he secured a job offer from the firm (Schäfer Werke KG) for roughly $1,500/month. He earns more now, but nothing great.
A couple close friends attended Gymnasium many years after getting married (35+ years old) and then qualified for university. Both attended Justus Liebig University Giessen, which is roughly considered as acclaimed/prestigious as EKU or NKU. One friend became an MD while the other is a physical therapist.
As much as our Gov is involved in health care, it's way low vs. most countries. We also need to put tariffs on countries that pay low prices for USA medical innovations like drugs to stop us from paying so much.
-im in the commercial realm...there is a need for quality *young* folks to join the industry. It's a solid living/steady life. Add skilled folk are aging out.

If the millennial's do indeed flip America into a socialist country one day they'll have to explain to their grandchildren that the reason they live in a make shift shack, live on government supplied rations and pay daily homage to an authoritarian dictator is because Grandpa and Granny were trendy bitches back in the day that had no clue what socialism was and ignored all the failed countries around the world that did it.

Those parents should be charged for taking kids to that shit, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t give a flip if adults go to drag shows (I won’t personally go). I agree with you but Michigan is not endowed with rednecks. There are a few. They are abundant in White Trash. I guess I took offense as I am a native Michigander. The Lions did Barry Sanders horrible. I quit following or rooting for the Lions for that reason. Just horrible as Barry had a real chance to be number one all time. So very prejudiced of the Lions as that organization. I love everybody but I still despise the Lions....
The Coronavirus absolutely was weaponized in China and IMO it has 2 goals.
1. To stop the Hong Kong protests. Remember the massive protests that were happening just recently? (Funny how you see no talk of these protests anymore huh?)
2. To hopefully hurt Trump by it spreading and effecting the economy.
