False, just uninformed. Why you may ask? It takes more effort to find the truth these days when the majority of media outlets are content with lies and propaganda. Most just don't want to be bothered by it. Lazy would be a better word.
I work in an office next to one that has a TV on all day for the troops waiting to get travel. That TV has CNN on as its station of choice. One woman who started working there about 2 years ago is a republican whose husband is a cop and she has been pro Trump up to a couple of weeks ago. She is now saying that he needs to go because of all of this Ukraine nonsense. I had to explain to her that this was all lies and that CNN and most of the other news agencies were falsely reporting the news. She was asking me why the Trump admin omitted over 500 words of the transcript and were not coming clean with the rest. I told her that that was what CNN was telling her and was not factual. I told her to go on line and get the truth by researching articles for the transcript. She basically said that between her job, cleaning the house and fixing meals for her husband, she just does not have the time.
This and just laziness is most of America's problem and liberal leaders and liberal media outlets know this. Uneducated on the facts is probably a better description of Americans.
