How long until the BOOMING TRUMP ECONOMY lifts up Baltimore? What’s stopping all these poor people from getting jobs and bettering their living conditions? Are there somehow no employment opportunities in that city?
Local politicians control that and have for years. Trump has made these businesses available it is now the time for libs in Baltimore to do their jobs. New York and Amazon anyon?

I’ve read your stuff and you are a fool. I’m sorry but I have to call it like I see it. The fed govt could give Baltimore 50 billion to clean up the city and those in power would take some and squander the rest. Those black folks like Elijah Cummings, al sharpton, conyers, Waters etc have one thing giving them power and it’s the weakness they have convinced their followers of. What’s stopping them is the constant whining and victimizing of their own communities. If inner city blacks became empowered the gravy train that jesse Jackson and the others have feasted on will dry up real fast.

These black civil rights activist need to keep their followers screaming for reparations and living in squalor or else there will never again be a democratic president. Slavery ended 150 years ago, Jim crow ended 50 years ago yet these folks live in the past bc of their leaders.

It all starts with education and as long as kids are growing up with their teachers telling them how unfairly America has treated them then they will always be in poverty. I taught in an inner city school and they were not taught that America is the land of opportunity instead they are taught that America is the land of repression.

As long as you believe you are a victim you will be. The bs is that a black baby born today is a clean slate. They have all the opportunity in the world. The inner city black community is the only one in the usa that does not try to empower its people. Instead let’s tell this baby about how bad his great great grandmother had it and continue to repress him. Let’s tell him the white man wants to put him back in shackles. Anyone can go back several generations and find injustice against their family. The sharpton type followers are the only one not living by the rule “I cannot control the past i can only control now and the future”. Time for these people to move on. Education is controlled locally and they will continue to prey on the young to turn them to victims. It’s sickening

Terrible take, but not uncommon. Especially on this thread.

Are you familiar with the “school-to-prison” pipeline for young, poor black males? Especially in cities like Baltimore, Detroit, St. Louis, etc. You know, basically what the “WAR ON DRUGS” was, and continues to be.

Or do you seriously believe that inner-city black people are actually choosing to live in generational poverty? That teachers are in on the ploy? That poor black people live every minute of every day thinking that the government has them in their back pocket?

You acting like 50-150 years is a “long time” tells me all I need to know. You want to plug your ears and turn the other way. “Move on” is the battle cry for white people who are uncomfortable talking about race in America. You’re one of them.

Oh and LOL @ the classic “I taught in an inner city school” bullshit. I assume you don’t teach there anymore. What caused you to leave?

I teach inner city kids as well. I don’t hear all that shit you’re talking about. I do have some coworkers who think it’s their job to “save” these kids though, and it sickens me. Hate those cornballs.

So there weren’t any jobs in Baltimore before Trump became president, but now there are? Or are you saying that Baltimore politicians should incentivize companies to move to their city, thus providing new jobs for their chronically unemployed citizens?

What did you not understand about what I posted? Lowest unemployment in many, many years. Democratically controlled city since anyone can remember and yet here you are asking questions. Do the math, it is at the lowest level so even you can figure it out unless, you are complicit with that kind of leadership.

You’re rambling again. Hence my questions that you can never seem to answer. What are you watching on TV right now, little buddy?

Your question was answered, you do not understand the answer or you do not like it. The results of democratic leadership in Baltimore speaks volumes which you seem unwilling to acknowledge because of you own corrupt nature.

So now Ratcliffe who is a conservative Texan was only elected to a highly conservative district in Texas by fellow conservative Texans in 2014 because of a "Russian election attack"?

And this isn't coming from some anon rando on Twitter.

Let me expand on what I said earlier. Everything that goes against their fake narrative is shouted down as an ism, ist, phobe or Russia.

False.

Today I was driving home with my son after seeing Spider Man Far From Home. I got him the collector’s cup for the movie. It has stickers from Venice, Italy Las Vegas, Nevada and Berlin, Germany among others. He was asking where these locations were (he’s 10).

When I got to Berlin I told him that his mom had a lot of ancestors that derived from Germany. I then saw an opportunity to bring up the wrongs of Nazi Germany and asked if he had ever heard of Hitler while in school. He said who? I said you’ve never heard of Hitler?

He says serious as can be, “Hitler? Are you talking about Hitlery Clinton?”

[roll] No... but I like where your heads at.
Never happened

Cities used to be hubs for industry and blue collar workers. Tons of kids didn’t even go to high school, they went to trade schools, and then made good money working in their city. That stuff, “the American dream”, has been decimated by democrats.

We’ve gone full retard with public education. You look at places like Baltimore, or some podunk KY town, where majority of kids can’t read or do math, so logically, since they suck at school, the answer is to...give them free college. Just throwing money down the drain. Give them jobs! You don’t need no damn college to make money. Period.

Thankfully people like Trump and Bevin understand this. You bring jobs back home and promote industry, then you start to fix all these stupid social problems you can’t just legislate away, or waste billions throwing handouts that only make problems worse. It’s common sense. Dems just can’t stand that because it takes away power and responsibility from govt and puts it back in the hands of the people.

Did you...repost this fake story from the mouthbreathing convention known as your Facebook feed?

Why even try to lie and say that this happened?

Trump has y’all thinking it’s cool to just spew bullshit and keep it moving. LMAO!!!

Lots of those industry jobs are long gone. Trade schools are still very much a viable option though. While assembly line workers have transformed into robots who don’t have health insurance, paid vacation days, and unions, there can still be opportunities (starting in early HS) that can open doors for early employment without our young people wasting $$$$$ on a 4-year college degree. Internships, free vocational school if you get decent enough grades, taking away the stigma of choosing shop classes over art/foreign language/etc electives, whatever. That last one might be the most difficult, but also provides the most bang for our collective buck.

Like you said, it wouldn’t cost a lot to emphasize this, but it does require smart leaders and significant planning time.

Giuliani is such a clown. goes on national tv and says Mueller personally told him he couldn't indict Trump. then in a later interview he was asked who he actually talked to. surprise, he didn't actually talk to anybody. he is just throwing shit at a wall and hoping fox news runs with it to stir up trouble. ..

I wouldn’t know. I don’t have a Facebook.

I couldn’t care less if you or Ed believe it. All I know is it gave me a good laugh and thought it was worth sharing.

If you are poor in the west, it's by choice.

Sometimes your IQ is barely or not even sufficient to operate a cash register or you've suffered serious trama, the rest of the time you are poor by choice, whatever your race or surroundings.

Tell that to every kid who’s ever been born into a dirt-poor household. But let me guess - they have exactly the same opportunities as “everyone else” in 2019.

It wasn’t a terrible take at all. Who have been the leaders in charge of those communities? What’s been their political affiliation? What have the leaders in charge done to help prop up those communities throughout history? How did those communities come to be? What and who has kept them down? The West end of Louisville, for example, used to be home to the parents of a lot of people in my age group. My parents grew up in that area, my grandparents had a restaurant at 18th and Broadway. The west end and Shively were what Jeffersontown, Fern Creek and Middletown are today. Why did Minorities decide to cluster in those areas when people started moving out? And even though they clustered as they did, what happened that those neighborhoods took turns for the worse? Why didn’t they keep their house clean, so to speak.

Pretending that Jim Crow was “a long time ago” is about as lame as it gets. Hence the terrible opinions that arise from that kind of thinking. The War on Drugs arguably set communities back even further. Reagan and Clinton can kiss my ass.

I know many who were and have bettered themselves, even me. Had nothing growing up and was dirt poor. Lived in a shed built for grain storage without electricity my last three years of high school in Vertrees Kentucky then, joined the Army and made a life for myself. Not rich but, between me and my wife we make over $100,000.00 a year. Mother and step father needed my help in her last years. Both living on about $800.00 dollars a month SS and that was it. From dirt poor to middle middle class and others have done better with nothing as a start. Yes everyone has the same opportunities, they just have to sacrifice by working hard for it.

Are you familiar with a concept known as "personal responsibility"?

Or do you seriously believe that inner-city black people are actually choosing to live in generational poverty? That teachers are in on the ploy? That poor black people live every minute of every day thinking that the government has them in their back pocket?

Personal responsibility. If they choose to do nothing to help themselves but complain, then they choose to live in poverty.

Personal responsibility. Do some research on how well blacks were doing before the democrats "helped" them by giving them welfare and rewarding out of wedlock births with cash.
