Yep. Churches are profit centers. None of them should be tax exempt.
Wrong, most of the churches out there really help down trodden people in their communities but, most we see on the tube are money driven therefore, people who are non believers have a negative opinion.

Still no cause announced for ND fire. Tells you all you need to know. If it was truly the renovation, they should be able to determine that already. Especially since the building wasn't a total loss.

What did they actually believe, what did they actually practice. A great apostasy was foretold after the death of Jesus and the deaths of the apostles. That great apostasy is the foundation of modern day Christendom...and it doesn't look much like the first century Christian congregation.

How many Christians today can tell you what the only event Jesus commanded his followers to observe is? Or where that one commandment is found in the Bible? How many of them even care? How many of them care what Jesus' viewpoint would be on Easter (Ishtar)? Or Christmas?
lol.

Jesus founded a Church which he said the gates of Hell would not prevail against. But, according to you, the gates of hell prevailed a mere ~50 years after his death.

Jesus commanded his followers to baptize and partake of his Body and Blood among other things (including giving the Apostles the power to forgive sins and loose and bind things on Earth).

Easter = Ishtar is a German Bible Criticism theory from the 1800s that has been roundly debunked by even (serious) atheist scholars.

Read Clement of Rome or Ignatius of Antioch some time. Both direct disciples of the Apostles writing around the turn of the 2nd century (possibly while John the Beloved was still alive).

Democratic candidates for Kentucky governor are not being critical of their democratic competitors. Seems like a friendly campaign. Andy Beshear will win primary easily. Meanwhile, Amy McGrath is polishing up her soccer skills.

There will be many votes cast against Governor Bevis regardless of who the Democratic opponent happens to be (see 2016 Presidential Election and votes against Hillary). He’s a very unpopular governor even within his own party and within party leadership (Damon Thayer, his resident ass kisser in the Senate, was publicly critical of his pension bill veto for quasi government agencies within the past week). It’ll be an interesting race in the fall with rampant vote buying on Bevis’ part (funding being released “graciously” for public work by Bevis between now and November), as well as trying to scare the hell out of the rural church goers with the abortion issue.

Just to clarify for the contrarian asshole; using the word "if" usually indicates a hypothetical. Conspiracy theorists do not work in hypotheticals as they fully believe their theory to be fact. Just as true to them as the theory of gravity and evolution.

Here is an example: Hillary Clinton had Seth Rich murdered. That I state as FACT. Just as true as evolution and gravity.

Compared to: IF this was arson, can you imagine how the Yellow Vests would react? That is a hypothetical situation because we do not know what the action would be until the precursor of that action occurs.

Make the case for Beshear and how your party is going to address the pension system you all created.

Conservative thinking based on incredibly stupid and obvious wrong-headed hate:

Many believed the economic decline during the Bush years were caused by Bush when in truth, the decline began the last year of clinton's second term. I remember the marked losses in my 401K the last two or three quarters of his last year. How many maligned Bush when the recession was actually clinton's?

Point is this: It's incredibly stupid to blame or credit a president entirely for the country's economic cycles. We WILL have cycles of prosperity. We WILL have cycles of decline. The worst thing the Fed can do is try to meddle with this natural phenomenon.

As for obama, the economy wasn't bad when he was president, but he didn't seem to be focused solely on the welfare of our country as is President Trump.

You're GD right. Got a problem with that?

Of course, you must have missed where I said "if" twice.

You've basically become a contrarian asshole. Congrats.
You brought it up, ifs or no ifs.

I think I'll contact the mods on name calling.

Oh, the ignore button is available.

"The University of Tulsa just abolished its traditional departments, including Economics and PoliSci.

Instead, it now has four broad divisions called "Ecology, Environment & Sustainability," "Human Biology and Behavior," "Fine Arts and Media" and... "Humanities & Social Justice."

So basically, Degrees from there just became worthless. .

No if it weren't for Bush pets.com would be bigger than Apple per Dems.

The best economic driver under Obama was the significant growth in energy production, something he opposed yet took credit for. He also benefited from the Fed artificially keeping rates down.

A man is accused of fatally beating his wife after being released from jail earlier in the day.

According to court documents, Samuel Lee Scott, 54, first hit his wife in January of 2019.

Court documents state Scott struck Marcia Johnson, 54, on the right side of her face, causing pain to her ear and cheekbone, on Jan. 6. After allegedly hitting his wife, Scott reportedly told her that he “might as well finish what [he] started since [she] was going to contact the police.”

Officers responded to that incident, and placed Scott as "wanted" for assault in the fourth degree.

On April 5, the circuit court issued a warrant for Scott's arrest, calling him a danger to the public.

Scott was arrested and charged, and four days after the arrest was served with an Ex Parte Order of Protection, which prohibited him from being within 300 feet of his wife or from entering her home.

The same day he was served with the Order of Protection, Scott’s $5,000 bond was posted by the nonprofit St. Louis Bail Project and he was released from custody.

Officials with the nonprofit said the order of protection was issued after the bail was posted, and they did not know about it. The organization would not answer questions about its policy for helping people with an order of protection or its vetting process.

After being released, Scott allegedly went to Johnson’s home on Wisconsin and Chippewa around 7:45 p.m.

Less than four hours later, Johnson was taken to the hospital by a friend who found her in her home saw blood coming from the woman’s head and body. Court records state Johnson was unconscious, had a broken eye socket, several broken ribs and was bruised from head-to-toe.

They should be held liable.
