So looking around the internet and talking to people here in the great state of cali. Its clear as day what the new talking point is. The fact that Trump hand picked his AG shouldn't have been allowed. And it doesn't matter what we see from the report, since we know Barr will have to censor some of it because of legal reasons, how will we know he also just won't cut out the things that look bad for Trump as well.

I honestly can't comprehend the mental gymnastics people are doing at the moment.

As far as the smartest guy in the room, more than likely he is. He knows way more than I do and probably you too.

As far as Trump, he IS a Jackass (and I am a Republican). And most of the things Matt disagrees with are usually valid. He does seem to get upset when people have nothing to back their argument and that is some thing that drives me insane as well. And he usually does a good job debating the topic of discussion. Usually he talks me into thinking the way he does with some of his arguments. Not all the time, but that doesn't mean he's a jackass and can't be listened too.

First I am not saying this toward you but I do listen to a lot of sports talk shows about basketball, football, Nascar, etc and it amazes me how often people call in with an opinion about something and by the time they get off the call the host has convinced them to change their mind. In most cases the callers opinion was fair and it is their opinion which they are entitled to have but they change it at the 1st urging of the host that they are wrong. I have never understood how they could have such little conviction about their opinion as to be dissuaded so quickly.

Its crazy how often I have heard that saying over the last 2 days. I went to a family get together with my girlfriends family last night. It felt like I went to a democratic convention. That was the only thing that was being talked about.

All legit quotes I heard last night:
"How can we trust anything that Barr says, he was hand picked by Trump!"
"We will never know what Mueller actually found, because Barr won't ever let it be known"
"How can we just let Trump just hand pick the AG?"

My favorite and I kid you not, someone actually said this:
"Why couldn't we just get 4 more years from Obama. He would never try to get away with hand picking the AG."

I don't like him or dislike him. He is pretty irrelevant to me. The only time I hear him anymore is the Toyota post game show while I'm driving home after home football games. That being said, I have watched Hey Kentucky a few times. I would be surprised if he is smartest guy in the room. He has very limited understanding of most of the political subjects I have heard him discuss. What I mean by that, is he doesn't understand the broader issues outside of the specific thing he is discussing. For example, his understanding of economics and how those factors impact some of his political topics is extremely poor. I used to find myself shocked at how flawed many of his assumptions were as they pertain to economics. Just because someone talks confidently doesn't mean they know what they are talking about.

Most of us are trained well in one or two areas of expertise and may not feel comfortable outside of those areas of expertise. Matt is an attorney. I'm not sure what his undergraduate degree is, but he doesn't seem to have any depth on most things outside of law.

Oh it doesn't matter. I mean Holder called himself Obama's wingman. People all of a sudden being up in arms because the president hand picked the AG tells me all that I need to know about that person. To me its one of two things.

1: You have absolutely no clue on how the AG has always been picked. The president nominates someone and the Senate votes on that person. If you don't know that basic thing, its clear you don't care too much about politics and just parroting what you think you should say

2: You are so blinded by your bias where even the most non controversial thing like the president selecting an AG is now controversial, its not worth talking to you.
