If the GOP itself tanks Hegseth I will probably never vote for another Republican. What a waste of a party if when we win...we have people in the party trying to make the win into a loss.
That's what the GOP is. Controlled opposition. They have no desire to actually help this country. MAGA is a third party having to deal with this shit and running under the Republican banner.

GOP politicians love doing theater for congressional hearings to fundraise off of or to try and get themselves some key position later but they do not want to actually control anything to make it different which is why they have fought Trump forever. So, instead of American voters hating the government and wanting this shit fixed, we will get a handful of establishment scum there to try and tank everything. There's no other explanation for how guys like McConnell/Thune and a littany of other compromised trash bags get power. This stuff is the result of backdoor threats and bribes.

GOP rubberstamp everyone the Dems want. They might send a letter which Dems/Feds ignore, but then every single Republican nominee always gets run through the ringer---the same group always wanting something for themselves to confirm, to leak a story and help faciliate the latest sexual assault accusation.

No one who can actually fix this country gets to be in control and that's the point. They don't want to fix anything. They want to intentionally destroy for their own corruption and to achieve the ideological vision of the criminals who own them.

She served in combat. He is apparently on record as saying that women should not serve in combat. Given her background, isn't she entitled to be circumspect about his nomination?
He's absolutely right, women don't need to be in combat.

Ernst drove in convoys, and had one experience where Iraqi boys laid in front of the vehicles. Thats hardly combat, yet thats her claim.

File this under Trump really didn't win. We just stopped counting too soon.

I call bullshit, they make up anything they want, Trump won by a landslide and they know it! And for that matter who says the right can say "still counting votes" and Trump won. Counting votes after election day, gimme an effin break. These effing people are silly, and only silly imbeciles believe their shit

This is great news if you own an LLC. It's only preliminary but it's a great start.

Generally I stand in strong opposition to a federal district court issuing a nationwide injunction on the federal government (since its generally something like a district court in the 9th Circuit preventing the federal government from enforcing immigration law), but I fully support this. That law is blatantly unconstitutional and the Louisiana decision shouldn’t have been limited to those plaintiffs.

Treasury has the authority to delay. They’ve completely bungled the impossible to implement law. They need to delay to Jan 1, 2026 and let Congress wipe it out in 2025.

Women shouldn't serve in combat and shouldn't be street cops. They are a liability. That is shown to be the case time and time again.
Folks like Dore know that full well. But folks like Dore have been conditioned to believe whatever narrative they’re handed. So they struggle mightily when the narratives are, inevitably, exposed as falsehoods.

This happened at the first full-time job I ever held at a private company. The supers and anyone with power would hire good looking women, have sex with them and before you knew it, they would receive promotions. A few women would quit before anything happened, but some would play the game, even the married ones. Shockingly, the company only had a handful of sexual harassment cases that we knew about. But I imagine they had their share of NDAs. Eventually, business was on a downswing and the company was forced to close their doors.

Unfortunately.

I rationalize (perhaps wrongly) that government is there to protect citizens and corporations are there to maximize profits.
Totally irrational.
Most govt officials are there to protect their own power. Their constituents are of almost no concern.
Are they protecting us at the border?
At the checkout?
Are they giving taxpayer money to anyone/everyone besides us?
Illegals get some. And Ukraine, Africa, Hamas.
North carolina residents get to pound sand.
These assholes ain't protecting jack shit.

Corporations aren’t wining and dining us either. We’re getting it both ways, seems like the great divide is who we place the blame on.

You are deflecting.
Why are others prioritized over US citizens by the gubbmint?
Like I said their power is#1 priority.
The change agent will be here soon.
We'll see. I hope that is the case.

Eat your crow if Musk suddenly finds himself with more government contracts or others in power gain even more wealth.

And if that doesn't happen, I'll gladly say I am wrong. Hell, I'll email you and Mrs. Turtle a gift card and cover dinner for a night.

No, you'll vanish like Nightwimp did after election day. Or else you'll move the goalposts.

What's wrong with Ernst? She's a big time Trump supporter isn't she?

As for DOGE, I understand that one of the first things that they/she intend to do is to eliminate remote work privileges for many federal employees. While I am generally all in favor of people working from the office, I know from experience that professional services firms have saved tons of money over the last few years in downsizing their real estate spend and allowing people to work remotely several days a week (or entirely) from home.

I also understand that the federal government (like the private sector) has taken on less office space over the last few years because so many people work from home.

So, my point is, that if the idea is to make federal government workers more productive, getting them back in the office makes sense. but, if the idea is to cut the budget of agencies (reduce spending), then I don't believe requiring in person work is the way to do it. It would have the opposite effect.
Wow you're uninformed. 91% of federal buildings are unoccupied. The fedgov spends tens of billions maintaining these buildings. 94% of federal employees work from home.

Anyone seen this person?

All of those states are in western time zones & have polls that stay open late or have mail-in primarily. NET, they aren't ever going to have all their votes counted in the a.m. after the election. Are their systems still sh!tty? Yes.

This chick is kinda crazy but sometimes she is dead on it.

Absolutely. Put it all out there. Let's root all these bad actors out.

Reminds me of the ABSCAM sting in the 80's. I think like 4 congressmen took an obscene amount of money and were charged. I want to say that like 1 in 2 or 3 congressmen were willing to take a bribe... I need to read about this again.

"all your sexual harassment and assault claims that were secretly settled paying off victims with tax payer moneythe entire Jeffrey Epstein files, tapes, recordings, witness interviews but not just those, there’s more, Epstein wasn’t/isn’t the only asset If we’re going to dance, let’s all dance in the sunlight."

Wow.

You need to look at how many close elections are won by Republicans versus how many are won by Democrats. The Minnesota senate seat was the biggest joke ever.

Old ideas. Marx was a lazy man peddling snake oil old ideas as new. The new world order idea started with Alexander "the Great" over 2000 years ago. All communism does is pave the way for universal poverty while the rich are obscenely wealthy living off of the poor. It's a whitewashed tomb or gold plated shackles. That's why lazy thinkers love it. They want to be part of the ruling class, and they know they won't and/or can't get there or maintain it through any production of their own, if they have any.
