Dion mentioned a weighted system that makes much more sense to me. Instead of a winner takes all electoral college.... a weighted system. For example, if Ky votes 60 percent Trump and 40 percent Harris.... Trump would get 4.8 electoral votes instead of 8 as he would now.
That system would still give power to smaller states but would also allow the minority party a say in the election as well. Right now my vote basically goes into the dumpster in Ky.

If they’re not cheating, why are they registering illegals to vote? Why are they fighting to have ineligible voters taken off the voter rolls? Why do they fight so hard against voter ID? And maybe, just maybe, if one of those “glitches” that always seem to favor democrats, go in favor of the republicans, we might not believe they are cheating.
Depends on if the money is allowed to follow homeschool children. The wording of the amendment is so vague, it opens the door for it. KY has one of the most lax homeschool policies in the country. Imagine families of 4-6 kids finding out they can get 5K per kid to put them on a computer program at home with little to no accountability. Add that to their food stamps and other checks and they’re making more than they’ve ever had. If you live in a city and your child has no learning disabilities, then Amendment #2 is a great thing. If you live in a rural area, it’s going to hurt the kids and schools.

Years ago we were going somewhere for Sunday dinner (about 50-60 miles away) so we decided to stop at a rather large Methodist church on the way. Had heard about it but were never there. Didn't pay any attention to the date...but come to find out it was MLK weekend. Got to the church...no sermon. Had 4 or 5 chairs set up on stage and the entire time was a discussion of how there were not enough blacks in their church....not enough blacks in their town.....what they could do to 'rectify' this...etc, etc. Not one mention of Jesus, God, no scripture....all 'social justice'. I was stewing in my seat and wanted to get up and walk out 5 minutes in. The Mrs is not like me (but she is very conservative). She doesn't want to make a scene, etc. She wouldn't let me leave...afraid someone might not like it, etc. Who cares. We didn't know any of those people...and provably wouldn't want to. Finally after prodding her....we left. Maybe she was afraid I would make a scene...lol.

The whole point is the Legislature determines how to implement it & they can be voted out if there program(s) are disliked. As is, state education is in a monopoly box primarily for the benefit of those that run the monopoly - School Boards & those that kowtow to them. Why people wouldn't want alternatives for their kids escapes me.
But I'm not worried, the deplorables will show them themselves by voting to keep the monopoly. It will be quite strange to see Trump win 60%+ of KY's vote in part because he wants government off our backs & his adherents support that, yet many will turn around and vote to keep the state on their childrens' backs. F-ed Up I tell ya.
