I would have got up and walked out. Wonder how many did.
Years ago we were going somewhere for Sunday dinner (about 50-60 miles away) so we decided to stop at a rather large Methodist church on the way. Had heard about it but were never there. Didn't pay any attention to the date...but come to find out it was MLK weekend. Got to the church...no sermon. Had 4 or 5 chairs set up on stage and the entire time was a discussion of how there were not enough blacks in their church....not enough blacks in their town.....what they could do to 'rectify' this...etc, etc. Not one mention of Jesus, God, no scripture....all 'social justice'. I was stewing in my seat and wanted to get up and walk out 5 minutes in. The Mrs is not like me (but she is very conservative). She doesn't want to make a scene, etc. She wouldn't let me leave...afraid someone might not like it, etc. Who cares. We didn't know any of those people...and provably wouldn't want to. Finally after prodding her....we left. Maybe she was afraid I would make a scene...lol.
Of course Democrats are GD crooks.

If she said confiscating guns of mentally ill teens via a court process...who have threatened to kill classmates then I agree with her as do most Americans.

Seth Keshel weighs in on the Selzer Iowa "dirty politics poll". Seth notes notes that voter registration in Iowa has gone from R+1 to R+10 this year after voter rolls were purged. Republicans lead in early voting by 7,200 votes this year versus being 128,000 behind in 2020. In short, he says "Selzer clowned herself.". He also notes that Emerson dropped a Trump plus 10 poll yesterday as they caught wind of Selzer's fake poll.

The whole point is the Legislature determines how to implement it & they can be voted out if there program(s) are disliked. As is, state education is in a monopoly box primarily for the benefit of those that run the monopoly - School Boards & those that kowtow to them. Why people wouldn't want alternatives for their kids escapes me.
But I'm not worried, the deplorables will show them themselves by voting to keep the monopoly. It will be quite strange to see Trump win 60%+ of KY's vote in part because he wants government off our backs & his adherents support that, yet many will turn around and vote to keep the state on their childrens' backs. F-ed Up I tell ya.

The problem is that Biden (and I expect Harris to be the same or worse) would just use Executive Orders to enact law that Congress would not pass. Reducing the power of the Executive branch has to be accomplished. We're electing the head of one branch (out of three), not a king who rules by fiat. Biden has misused that power many times, most egregiously on border security. We also desperately need to rein in the agencies who are unelected government drones but write laws/regulations that Congress did NOT pass (see: EPA regs re: EVs and fossil fuels). That is not how our government is supposed to work.
Extend that nationally. If Trump wins 49% of the EC then he should be POTUS 49% of the time, no? CryBully.

That makes some sense since the smaller states still have an oversize say vs. their population. Would mean Pubs still win with over about 48%, maybe 47%, of the total votes, based on today's voting records by state. Similar to what NE & ME do now.
Biden's 2021-22 big spending bills would not have passed with just one more Pub Senate vote. Yes, EO's would still be a problem.
