Not the only reason of course....but looking at the Secret Service detail last night...I would put some of the blame on what happened to Trump on DEI run amuk. When they are hurrying Trump to the SUVs, there are about 4 or 5 female agents. A couple look like they wouldn't be able to sprint 50 yards. Told the Mrs last night that I wouldn't feel safe if they were guarding me. She agreed.
This morning my local television station which is an NBC affiliate, it's not that local. it's an hour away, headline still says that loud noises rang out at Trump rally.

Rep Jackson also said last night that Trump had the smallest Secret Service detail of all ex-presidents. Now I would imagine Carter's wouldn't be too big....but smaller than Clinton and Obama. But I guess in Biden's DHS....those 'right wing' extremists who go around burning, looting, and shooting people are the dangerous ones.
The Secret Service detail was inadequate. There was a shooter basically a football field away. Anyone in leftist media have the guts to ask questions?

Had Thompson’s bill passed, would that not have been confirmation for a potential shooter to feel his task was just made much easier?

He seemed to turn his head slightly to look in that direction before the shot. Had he not, he could have taken a fatal hit to the head.

I was not going to respond in this thread till after I'd read thru if from last evening till now. I didn't find out about Trump till 7:15 last night as I left home for a euchre game right after the post you quoted. I got back just before midnight & went to bed. I'd heard a few updates along thru the evening.
Short & to the point: What happened is awful & wish Trump well & feel for the families of those shot. It's bad for the country.
But when I got to this post, I couldn't let "You almost got exactly what you wanted." pass without telling you that YOU'RE A BOLDFACE LIAR. If I don't get an apology here, we're done & would presume that suits you.
