Saw an interview with Congressman Ronny Jackson last night (ex-WH doctor). Said his nephew was at the rally. A couple of rows down from where the man was killed. His nephew said he dropped/ducked when he heard a shop and while down noticed that his neck was bleeding. So he was hit as well, only very minor. Guess that section of the bleachers off to the right of the stage (as you're looking at it) is for 'family and friends'. And I'm sure local party supporters, big wigs, etc.

Not the only reason of course....but looking at the Secret Service detail last night...I would put some of the blame on what happened to Trump on DEI run amuk. When they are hurrying Trump to the SUVs, there are about 4 or 5 female agents. A couple look like they wouldn't be able to sprint 50 yards. Told the Mrs last night that I wouldn't feel safe if they were guarding me. She agreed.

This morning my local television station which is an NBC affiliate, it's not that local. it's an hour away, headline still says that loud noises rang out at Trump rally.

Rep Jackson also said last night that Trump had the smallest Secret Service detail of all ex-presidents. Now I would imagine Carter's wouldn't be too big....but smaller than Clinton and Obama. But I guess in Biden's DHS....those 'right wing' extremists who go around burning, looting, and shooting people are the dangerous ones.

I personally know many libs disappointed the shooter missed. Political discourse is at a horrific place in this country and its because of the left trying to make sure their people are worked up enough to not stay home. I think biden is an awful president but i definitely don't wish death on him.

Your acknowledgement that talking about principles and concepts is a waste of time here confirms my thoughts that I'm not coming back. Until people are willind to discuss those things instead of just name calling and rallying for their team, nothing will change. I'm glad I actually live in the real world and not on this board. In the real world, I can hang out, have breakfast or spend time with someone that I disagree with on political issues, and we can discuss something other than what we disagree about and have a good time. Some people, on the other hand, ruin every get together by insisting on telling everyone what they disagree with them about politically.
