Honestly? No. I don't see how friends and family, expressing support for their loved ones that served in the military, fosters dangerous cultural undertones. It's fetishization of the military for no reason. Even setting aside what they choose to spend their charity on, those trips to the monuments could be done without any fanfare at airports.
