"Society that ALLOWED that success to flourish". What a statement. Either you're saying the right of a person to profit from his knowledge and time is somehow now a privilege, or you're saying a society that allows success deserves access to those profits to give to people who were unsuccessful. Or unmotivated.
Fewer people would accumulate wealth under your plan. There would still be elites. They would be more powerful than they are now. Your plan is just like Bobby Knights plan on what to do if you are about to be raped.

Denmark is an homogenous country of about 6 million people. The reason they have what they have is because they have not tried to fix what wasn't broken, and they resisted attempts to break it.

Legal citizenship or immigration status does not, in practice, define the boundary around who is or isn’t Danish. In everyday interactions, it is racial phenotype and skin color that determine access to cultural citizenship and belonging.
