He wasn't a terrible candidate. Trump's endorsement and close ties is what killed him. The majority of Americans HATE Trump with a passion.
Trump could probably endorse Jesus at this point and cause him to lose.

If he ran as Dem would you say he was a bad candidate? A world famous dr and surgeon. Friends with Oprah. I'll bet money that if he was running as a dem the coverage would be 100% different and you'd say "of course he's a great candidate". And if I ran for office I'd weigh the support for Trump in the area I ran in.
It's easy to say he lost so he's bad. Dems did that when Hillary lost. They pointed out how bad of candidate she was until they realized she might run again and then she got cheated... but we can't talk about that.

Appreciate it. I just think it begins and ends with Trump. If Rs embrace him again, we get Biden v Trump II which no one wants and Biden wins. If Rs make it clear to Trump and the country that they've had enough and are done with his nonsense, they can move forward with DeSantis and more than likely Biden doesn't run again. Yes, the media might paint DeSantis as satan, which will be unfair, but he's not losing in '24. He just wouldn't. The country needs something fresh from both sides and I really believe the Rs response to how they handle Trump going foward is going to set things in motion.

Desantis would win by a landslide in a fair election but those days are gone. Democrats are power hungry and not for the betterment of the American people. Saying that and actually doing it is another thing. It will be a challenge to beat them to the neighborhoods, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, etc. where they fraudulently pull a lot of their votes from by “assisting” elderly and infirmed people with filling out their ballots.

Agreed, it is hard to figure what is being said or done. When you factor in all of the false documentations the left generated on Trump and all of the lies told or the spin doctoring to make things sound bad it is difficult to see the truth. Trump does post/tweet a lot of stupid sometimes ridiculous things and I wish he would just tone it down but, that is Trump. When you factor his leadership vs Biden I can look past the tweets.
With that being said and admittedly not really reading or looking into the accusations of him saying to suspend the constitution, I would be against him and question why he said it and in what context. Suspend or get rid of...no.
If very few GOP want to totally eliminate abortion then why has nearly every GOP controlled state tried to outdo the rest in passing more and more restrictive abortion legislation?

Was actually going to post this morning about Herschel. I posted many times that he would win with no problem. That he was a 'god' in the state. Man, was I wrong. Hard to believe how much that state has changed since I moved in the mid-90s. Truly where a couple of large population inner city counties control an entire state now.
Because they are stupid and stupid political parties lose elections. The GOP has a horrible record of getting out their message. They do not define it, they let the opposition define it and then try to defend it.
Abortion is just one issue where the GOP fumbles the ball but they are many.

I sure agree with you about Georgia. I was transferred there in the early 1990's and settled in the North Georgia Mountains. The state was an ideal place to live. But things started to change with millions of new residents and thousands of illegals. The illegals took the jobs so many Georgians had done for generations. The new residents were at least 90% left wing with most settling in Metro Atlanta. Within 20 years it was an entirely different state. I knew I had to leave and I did when I retired. Now it is even worse and Metro Atlanta does pretty much control the entire state. I hate driving through the place now and thank God I was able to move out and put it in my rear view mirror.

In fairness, it is difficult to get out the message when you're outspent 2-1 and that does not include the media coverage. Examples were posted yesterday of time spent on each candidate and which ones were hit pieces or not.
