“Don’t buy in bulk” seems like an odd one. First buying bulk generally comes with a discount by volume, so I’d rather buy in bulk. Second, it seems that comment is targeted towards the type of people who like to stock up or prepare for emergency situations. Totally agree. We usually purchase in bulk whenever possible. Bloomberg speaking out against bulk purchases might also represent opinion piece author's stance at discouraging hoarding. Should never punish those who took time to prepare.
