Yes and that same "friend" said that he did not ask him to help. There is still a lot of misinformation being put out. The bottom line for me is he was correct in defending himself and had a right to be there just like anyone else but, the law is very particular in many states on what you can do as far as brandishing weapons. Example:
In Oklahoma I can defend my home/business as long as I can prove it was being attacked. But, if the neighbors are being attacked it would depend on the situation. If being robbed or vandalized I would have to let the police handle it. If life threatening to them I would still have to call the police first but make a decision whether to use that force I deemed necessary to stop the attack. The same with being out, I can use deadly force if me or my immediate family was being threaten or attacked (must prove) but, If it is someone not family I would have to determine if the situation was life threatening and still be subject to prosecution because it is not my responsibility to do the job of the police unless authorized by being deputized for it.

Fact checked false. As I said in a previous post, my expenses have risen likely over $400 a month with no increase in income and I'm sure there are many others like me. Just because you raised the pay for minimum wage workers doesn't mean you really helped anyone. Especially with inflation outpacing wage increases.
