KSR radio was kind of talking about "the funk" that fans are in, and I certainly am...still "enjoying" every bit of it, though. This has been an all time football season for me. For better and worse. Just very entertaining and something. A full spectrum from total inept retardness to an unbelievable will to win from our fearless leader SJ.
That football season has detracted a bit from my basketball anticipation. I quit following recruiting probably after that Brandon Knight group. It just doesn't matter. We're gonna get a brand new roster of potential Final Four caliber players. Who cares. Let's fn win the thing. GOOOOO!!!!!
But also, and this is probably petty, but it's very real to me, damnit - I've watched these fn ACC schools like duke, UNC, and even gdamn UL win as many, and more, championships than we have during our unreal "30 first round picks!!!!!" talent run, or whatever, and I'm salty as hell about that. I will never ever ever forget that damn Wisconsin crap, or that UNC crap....or even that WVU crap. I need #9 or else. We are closer to the end of this miraculous Cal Era and I need 2 or 3 championships out of him so I can feel good about myself. Idgas what stupid media says, anything less is a slight disappoint from Cal. No, it doesn't detract from all the fun we've had, and ALL THE LIVES WE'VE CHANGED!!!!!!, but it's a bit embarrassing, tbh.

Then a minute later I distinctly recall watching the Cats consistently getting beat to every single loose ball and rebound in the first half. Then I get a little pissed. Hustle and play like you GAF and we are up 8-10 at the half. Way different ballgame.
Then I distinctly recall hearing/reading/hearing some more of Cal talking about how young we are and awe shucks and woe is me. Eff you, Cal. You are the architect/orchestrator/owner of putting that group together/managing them. So stop effing whining about it and acting like somebody dropped those kids off on the door step of your mansion. Damnit! Sick of hearing that ish. Just. Stop.
Again, a little indifferent and kinda to the point of WGAF. Because I don't think those players GAF. Not collectively. Not about the team. And I'm not sure that many young players can gel into what Cal needs them to in such a short time. Maybe. But probably not.

Good rant KS. Last night was probably the calmest I've ever been watching a UK basketball game in several years. Almost complete Zen.
More effort for the loose balls could have made a difference. Maybe I don't know what I'm looking at, but several times, it seems like we have 5 dudes out there playing ball instead of a team of 5 dudes. Like everyone just kinda does their own thing instead of being a unit.

Maybe. But I actually think they go a little further. When the bright lights are on they will perform. And they are talented. No doubt about that. But who knows. It's way too early to determine any thing for sure. They very well may "buy in" to the team concept like the '12 ship team did. Haven't shown that yet obviously like you stated above. But it's early.
