- was wondering when that dumb golf cart thing was going to hurt someone. Looks like a mutilated leg. Idiots.

Wait... that was a real thing? People were hitting one another with golf carts? I wouldn't ram somebody with a grocery cart let alone something motorized. Effing stupid.

Yeah, this is the same people that are jumping off roofs and landing on folding tables. We got wild in college but I don't recall the urge to do crazy dangerous stunts.

...not to mention much of the time those bags are tearing up the course (and the carts they do not own), jumping through bunkers, off tee boxes, onto greens, etc. [eyeroll]

I'm pretty sure no matter what age I was, if someone intentionally ran over me with a golf cart at full speed they'd be getting a 6i to the knees assuming I was able to get up.

-Has anyone messed w/ an all gas trimmer?

-I actually installed Kodi on my TV back in early March -- still yet to watch anything on it. It's completely changed my life, as many predicted.

-Per Killa, Eli Barron was completely full (200) 3 weeks out. That's pretty awesome...last year was the most attended & best run since my HS years, and sounds like they're keeping that going. #ChipsAndSalsa

-Underrated part of The Open Championship is getting up the next morning and seeing Randall's tweets from his typical sports-watching all nighter. I guess that's really no different than any other day other than it's an even I'm actually interested in . What a loon that guy is.

-Caught the 4Q of kates and cards from PJCS last night on SECN. Man, what a game & what a time that was. SAE & I against the world at that horrible place really is one of my favorite sports traditions these days. Still can't believe we didn't catch a blow, or end up in any trouble post-game. We were obnoxious. [cheers]

-Who here is going to the Champions Classic?

Starting to miss sportsball.

<--- has a battery trimmer. :flushed: The little Ryobi Blower is pretty nifty little gadget for the normal city homeowner to blow off the deck, driveway, and other little shit...so I picked up the Trimmer, and it was fine for what we had there as well.

Doesn't come close to being able to do the job at the new place, however. Guess I'll just get a classic STIHL and mix my oil like a true weed eating ball.

-I haven't had pizza rolls in a long ass time -- another reason I'm looking forward to :football:

Did see Donatos Frozen Pizzas at Meijer the other day :eyes:, anyone enjoyed? They had pretty much the entire menu in there including the Pepperoni Zinger.

Cmon John Deere!

Idk if this stuff is a gimmick or what, but it's no ethanol, pre-mixed big boy fuel that's supposed to keep engine clean and stuff. I've almost used one can this season, so I think it's probably worth it for light residential use. Almost $6 a can. $12 a year not messing with oil mix and another stupid gas can is worth it for me....plus that stuff smells AWESOME.

Sometimes I'd really like to go back and work one week at a manual labor job -- landscaping, framing houses, whatever.

Doing it long term normally sucks unless you're the boss but every once in a while it is really appealing to think back to working your ass off all day in the sun and then being completely free from worry when it is quitting time.

-gas trimmers are more powerful and mobile. Require more maintenance.

-if you have a large property with lots of trees/fence/outbuildings as well as trimming "brush" they are fantastic. Used a stihl that had a saw blade attachment for small trees when I was in college on mom and dad's place.

-if you only have to edge flower beds stick with electric.

[laughing] That place emptied out quicker than anything I've ever seen.

Glorious.

-They were regular frozen pizza size...medium, I suppose? I hate Frozen Pizza in general, but am curious about that one.

Fwiw, they also had Gino's East. Guess their Frozen Pizza game is LIT.

-Just for the record, when I said "gas", I didn't mean vs. Electric. I meant vs Gas/Oil, or 4 stroke vs 2 stroke. I grew up on a farm, don't insult me please.

I didn't know people actually bought/owned battery "trimmers." This is like finding out someone actually lives in Iowa or Vermont or something. But I guess if you live in a nice house in the "city" on a postage stamp lot, a Lego tool will work.

Real men who put a 10% down, white picket fence house on this dirt use gas everything. Really adds to that country fresh, new cut grass smell after a 2+ hour mow.

Donatos has opened up a place down here in Bowling Green so basically eat one, city folks.

* Battery Trimmer owner here who is about to switch to gas. My current trimmer can't handle all of the edging at my palatial estate.

* BucketHead, my little girl is going to Children's today for a follow up on her kidney procedure from a few years ago. So far so good. Has your daughter's reflux fixed itself/how is she doing?

* Chadwick, I am dragging your ass to a couple of football games this year. Put your excuses in a Kroger bag and toss them in the trash. You are going.

* Gonna smoke roast a whole beef tenderloin this weekend. I did a couple of side jobs for my boss and he is thanking me with the gift of red meat.

* I'm probably not going to the Champions Classic, but Marge and I are going to New Orleans right before Christmas for the event where we play UCLA and Ohio State plays UNC.

* 2 Sundays ago I bought a water lily and some hyacinths for Lake Gyero. I also bought $30 worth of deer repellent. 2 days later the touching deer ate everything.

So... I will probably be smoking some deer tenderloin soon, too.

* Ain't gonna lie. I get a little excited thinking about giant linemen with mean streaks transferring from USC.

Don't get caught, Vince, but keep doing what you are doing.

* The new Killers' song "The Man" sounds like a cross between the Bee Gees and David Bowie, but I dig it.

* Cottage ham, green beans and potatoes doing their thing in the crockpot as we speak.

Donatos is scared of the Louisville Pizza Scene, I guess. Or maybe John told them to stay TFO? Only thing that makes sense at this point.

-Got an email from NOLA UK Alumni club about their Hattiesburg Bus trip, which I assume PTI(pti) is doing?

That's really cool that they do that...the LSU game was so well done. Going the wrong way down 2 lane roads on the way back w/ Police Escorts blocking miles of traffic ahead while all the Cajuns waited in a 2 hour log jam was something else.

-The middle finger in the background from your boy who told us before the game we were going to get smoked is the best.

-Would really like to see Dorian Baker have a big year. He's not a bad kid, in spite of the drops. His body language and effort completely changed under Lamar Thomas last year which was awesome to see.

-Clevan Thomas will be a GD stud here, and possibly this season.

-I had forgotten Stephen Johnson's running against UofL last year. Wouldn't mind seeing more of that, and with a little more depth at QB I think we will.

That was the best performance by a UK QB since Woodson, obviously. Good Lord, old Stephen was nearly flawless. Was impressive to see again.

-Have a Redmax trimmer from my landscaping days (1997-2005) that is incredible. Probably will probably get one more season out of her before she's laid to rest. Will go that route again when the time comes.

[banana]

You guys missed out. Hope to see more folks at PJCS in 2018. Wodie day.

Didn't realize Willy went with you.

If he can just improve his accuracy on short/intermediate throws ...

Old Ed Gran pretty much earned his paycheck scrambling and getting that kid at the last minute. Shew.

Big fenced yard...super long driveway...electric trimmer does just fine. Gas and/or gas-oil is one big pain in the ass....or just fine to satisfy an ego. Too old and too much yard (which I do myself) to worry about expensive gadgets. A mower on the other hand is a different story...for those that do it themselves.
