Come on, Mr. Moderator... derailing what should be a positive thread that everyone should have been on board with. ...at least for a few more posts. Tisk tisk. He's a brave man, going out in public with all the hate he will be facing. I'm sure there will be a contingent of disgruntled fans from this site letting him know he should be packing his things and getting out of the Commonwealth. Maybe some folks can also stand and heckle anyone who wants his autograph and tell them how stupid they are for supporting him.

I read 6 posts into the thread about Cal giving money to a man with cancer and knew there is no hope of ever getting through a thread about Cal without it getting derailed. If it has to do with Calipari, he could be curing cancer and it wouldn't matter. If it is a positive, it must be counter-balanced with negativity. It can't be allowed to stand unopposed. In fact, if it's one positive thought, apparently it must be countered with at least 10 times as many negatives. I think the ratio is now standing at 10 to 1, which is actually an improvement over where it was.Come on, Mr. Moderator... derailing what should be a positive thread that everyone should have been on board with. ...at least for a few more posts. You know what? I bet if there were hecklers there that were only disrupting and ruining everyone’s time there and generally making things toxic the moder….errr security would ba……errr escort them out. 😉
Something tells me it would be 98% of people saying things as they walk away, out of ear shot. I just don't buy that most folks would have the guts to say anything like that. And that's kind of a good thing, in a way, because it says deep down, people are sane and not acting like lunatics.
Yes, if I'm being completely serious, I have to say that at least some of the talk has subsided. The recruiting has been really good this spring/summer. We have players returning next year who would have certainly been gone before, so that helps. Having a national player of the year returning for another season at Kentucky is a rare thing, indeed, so that has to help a little bit. And I really do understand some of the frustrations because I've been frustrated with the results the last 2 years for sure. The irritating part for me is that for some it is absolutely non-stop. They sing one note, monotone and on repeat. I also agree that I don't think even the most extreme posters here would say to Calipari's face the things they say here. People don't mind being brutal so long as they can remain anonymous.I also think with some of the recent recruiting momentum a lot of the “Is Cal washed up?” talk has ebbed a bit. He’s still got some stuff left to prove but he’s definitely finishing up the off season strong.
100%. No one would say a single bad word to him. Easy to talk big through a keyboard.Something tells me it would be 98% of people saying things as they walk away, out of ear shot. Threats are a sign of the times and a couple wackos there would not surprise me.

I will say any true fan wants better results from what we've experienced the last few years. However I have great hope in that we seen a team playing as good as any we've had in the Cal era before injuries derailed it. I also see a man that has changed his philosophy with more emphasis on shooting and skill over the uber athlete only type we had for several years. The changes from top to bottom in his support staff makes me believe Cal is putting the program in position to be successful and compete for titles starting this year. It's time for results now.

I've never understood grown people asking someone for an autograph
I've never understood grown people who try to dim someone else's hobby/joy.I've never understood grown people asking someone for an autograph
It's not my thing either, but life would be pretty boring if we were all the same.I've never understood grown people asking someone for an autograph

Grom those frustrations have nbeen expressed many ways and many times so everyone pretty much knows how everyone else feels. IL cat is right. It’s ok have positive threads as well and if someone doesn’t feel that way then don’t read it.How about he do his job and win basketball games at the university of Kentucky? You know we could be doing that and you wouldn’t have to divert from the real problem and try and use sarcasm to prop him up.
His job is to perform. He hasn’t performed. You’re not making any sense, at least to those of us who realize what’s really going on.
His job isn’t to cure cancer, strawmans aren’t going to work, and he’s going to be help accountable one way or the other for underperforming while the other blue bloods catch us. You don’t have to like it man, but it’s going to happen anyway.
Everyone supported Calipari until he began to lose at UK. It’s strictly about winning and losing with most. For others; it’s About not being able to let go of what we were when he started. It’s as simple as that.

I would never ask anyone for an autograph. I get why people do but it’s not my thing. I really don’t get buying an autograph someone else got. I’m also not a collector. Last thing I collected was mining company stickers in grade school. So if Michael Jordan was around you wouldn’t ask for it? Or someone really famous like Elvis or Brady?
Fans ask for autographs of people they like or are famous.
It’s usually not just about the autograph either. It’s a memento of a time you had a fun or memorable experience.
Why’d do people get such a stick up the ever backside about this?

The only autograph I got was Joe B Hall's. My Dad was a fan and he was at a high basketball game. This was over 10 years ago.I would never ask anyone for an autograph. I can see that for sure. The only autograph I got was Joe B Hall's. My Dad was a fan and he was at a high basketball game. This was over 10 years ago.
Don’t mention the King in the same sentence as Brady.😀So if Michael Jordan was around you wouldn’t ask for it? Or someone really famous like Elvis or Brady?

An obvious troll account is what set the tone in that thread you’re referring too. Look at the guys posting history under the Snow Leopard account. The guy literally has a recent post that says, “ I like to blame Calipari for everything.” That post in that thread you’re talking about, he coldly posts “I’d never donate money to someone that brought Cal here.” Its not even debatable for someone to try to convince me the guys a real UK fan if anyone looks at the post history.I read 6 posts into the thread about Cal giving money to a man with cancer and knew there is no hope of ever getting through a thread about Cal without it getting derailed.
