I'm very impressed with how well he plays defense. He gets at least 3 steals a game.

We know Cal teams suck the air out of the ball and blow leads in the last 4:00 minutes in the post season dating back to Cal losing the natty to Kansas.

With that said…how ridiculous is it to suggest we should wait until 1/3 through the season to teach the team some sets to finish the game?!!!

Didn’t this team have a summer trip to Canada? Middle school teams put in end game sets the first week of practice.

Cal mentioned in his presser that Shep wasn’t a knockdown shooter in HS but has worked to become one. I thought he was consisted one of the better shooters in HS. Regardless his form looks great and every shot looks like it’s going in. And his shot selection is outstanding.

I'm sticking with the prospect of finishing this year at 11 and 1. After watching Bradshaw workout I think his best spot is going to be playing the four on offense. I still think the team needs to run through Mitchell so keep him right where he is. Bradshaw is a better outside shooter than either Edwards or Thiero. He'll need some time to get his body ready stamina wise so in the first few games he plays he'll probably only get about 10 minutes. But by February he should be one of our best players and get 20 minutes or more. It is feasible UK could enter the SEC tournament with only three total losses.

NO MORE LONG TWO POINTERS. How many times did we see Keion Brooks or Sahvir Wheeler pull up 6 inches in front of the 3 point line? Good lord. Welch has been a god-send.

To those who don't like a fast paced play, shooting 3s, forcing turnovers etc

That we play better and should of been playing this way for years now.

We have the athletes to do that here and wear out the opposing defenses.

Heard it so many times about how they would rather win 68-66 than to lose 90-88.
I was always thinking what kinda fetanal laced Crack are these people smoking. The 90s showed how that style of play plus athletes overwhelms opponents. It's a signature style of play that kentucky has historically been known for. It's what has won us titles and attracts recruits and fans.

I'm glad we are finally playing fast and loose instead of plodding basketball. This is the Cal I have been wanting to see for many years

In talking to a fellow cat fan today he asked me what kind or how much money are we talking about for our football team for NIL. I honestly don’t have a clue. For instance we pretty regularly put 50k fans in Commonwealth Stadium. If those 50 thousand pledged 20 bucks a month , would that do it ? If my math is correct that be 12 million a year ? Anyone got an idea how much NIL money we’re talking about ?

Some UK fans doubted Dillingham would even make it to campus, and if he did he would be a hit or miss guy. SO FAR, his season is there with any 1st year guard. Seems near impossible to keep out of the paint and will be lethal on lobs when we get our bigs going.

Not sure I can recall a team that passes as accurately as this team. Not just guards either. Mitchell and Thiero are good as well. It’s beautiful to watch.

What's crazy about last night, is that if you had told me before the game that:

• DJ Wagner would get hurt early and have to leave the game
• Antonio Reeves and Tre Mitchell would only 1 hit 3FG each and go a combined 2/7 from deep
• Omier and Poplar would drop 20 and 19 respectively
• We would get out-rebounded
• Miami would shoot and make more FTs than us
• And that Miami would go on an 18-2 run in the first half

I would have told you we probably lost by 20. And I think many of you would say the same.

Instead, we were up nearly 30 with 4 mins to go.

Absolutely remarkable what last night was. Ridiculous basketball game.

Reed is awesome but Dillingham is electric. He causes so much trouble for defenses. He was unbelievable tonight, outside of the 2 stupid fouls early in the second half.

Did you all notice everything we ran last night? We ran Floppy action, Zoom action and even ran a horns set at least once. This team does a GREAT job of spacing the floor, we pass in to the post so well (remember all the teams that never took the right angle). Ive always said Cal is a very good defensive coach but his Offenses last 6 years or so have been garbage. Yes getting better players more a kin to his system has helped.. BUT the spacing on this team is unreal. We have a guru on that bench helping Cal and it shows! I am thankful he lowered his pride enough to allow it! I made the comment that Reed should go to Virginia because I didnt think he would thrive in an only dribble drive offense, AND he is a far better defender than I gave him credit. This new offense gives Reed what he needs to be very successful! Man this team is FUN! Wait til we get rim protector in there !!
