Transfer Cats Stats this season

Just a little chart showing how former cats are doing this season. Yes, I am very bored today.

Mixed bag of results. Grass isn’t always greener.

As I look at the chart I’m not sure Id take any of them back for the way this years team is set up. Brooks and Wheeler would definitely upset the great chemistry of this team.

Brooks, Wheeler and Hopkins putting up good numbers.

Allen, Ware, Collins and Fletcher not so much. Fletcher suffered an ACL tear and is out for year. Ware is what he always was. Collins PT is dwindling as the season goes on.

And if you don’t give a crap because they are no longer Cats then move along and ignore this thread.

EDIT: Updated to add other players.

TV & Radio Commentators

It's a slow time for UK sports, thought I'd start a slightly controversial discussion. I have reached the point where I usually mute the TV and just watch the games, football and basketball. The main reason is most of the commentators add nothing to my viewing pleasure and, on many occasions, say stupid things. I also listen to games on the radio when I'm out and I find it to be the same. Which brings me to the controversial part, I loved Jack Givens as a player. I met him several years ago and he seems to be a great person. However, I can no longer listen to the UK basketball games on the radio because he, imo, adds nothing or little to the broadcast.
I'm posting this in hopes that someone or two of you have a different opinion regarding Jack but you cannot change my opinion on the broadcasters in general. Wishing everyone Happy Holidays and as the Big Dawg would say "GBB".

The NET is a Problem

I don't get it.

Iowa State has zero wins over NCAA Tournament teams (we might have 3 at this point depending on St. Joes and Penn)

Same goes with Houston, who is somehow number 1.

Houston has played NOBODY all year long (have played zero ranked teams, and only scheduled 1 team in the preseason top-25, a mediocre Texas A&M team and they almost lost).

Yet somehow they have FOUR Q1 wins (again, played a bunch of nobodies).

They really have the NET figured out like a cheat code.

Utah, Dayton, Texas A&M (7-4) and Xavier (6-5), all unranked.

Iowa State has beaten VCU, Depaul and Iowa (All 3 of them STINK), lost to Virginia Tech and that same mediocre Texas A&M team, and they are 6th in the NET.

MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.

Maybe Cal had it right. Pack in a bunch of games against stinky Power-5 opponents and beat them, and then blow out sub 300 teams and be top-5 in the NET.

So how we feeling about the Clemson game?

Not been much game discussion because of the portal and what not. So how we feeling about this game?

I think it's a game we can win but i think Clemsons talent will just win out against us. Gonna be a tough match up. I think Ray Davis playing gives us a chance though and we will probably need a big game from him for us to win IMO

Fine, short Vaught article about Cutter’s donation of some of his NIL

Hot take - I want Louisville to be good again

I'm still relatively young but my favorite memories of this rivalry are from the early Calipari/Pitino Era. I miss the excitement and anxiety leading up to tipoff where winning wasn't a sure thing. The games were battles and winning felt like an accomplishment where we would obtain bragging rights for the year. I still watch highlights of beating them in the tourney in '12 and '14. I grew up in Louisville (but don't live in Kentucky anymore) so most of my friends from home are UofL fans, and being able to talk trash with them was always a good time.

Now this game feels like punching a Make-a-Wish kid in the face. There's no excitement, no challenge. My UofL friends don't care anymore so trash talk is meaningless. At no point was I worried about losing yesterday, the only minor 'anxiety' was about if the win would be ugly. While it was cool to see our fans take over the Yum, it was so disappointing to me to see however many empty seats there were last night and the general low-energy home crowd when this use to be a top 2 rivalry in college basketball. I use to argue this rivalry was better than Duke/UNC, now I'm not even sure it's in the top 5.

Don't get me wrong, I want to beat Louisville every time we play them, but I at least want a fight! Look at the football game this year - how awesome was it going into their stadium and beating a "top 10" team? I'll be watching highlights of that game for years to come. My UofL fans were talking so much sh*t before the game that beating them felt so much sweeter. But last night's game? It was great in the moment, but this morning I don't feel that sense of accomplishment after beating our main rival.

I want them to be good again so we can get that excitement back. I imagine I'm in the minority here so I'm ready for people to bash me.
