Teams like South Carolina who play to use more clock, need to be pressed by this UK team. We have plenty of players to keep fresh bodies on the floor.
Why we allowed them or for that matter any team to dictate tempo is beyond me.

How many “cylinder “ fouls did South Carolina commit?

Came across this tweet today from a guy who specializes in basketball analytics. I knew about the old trend that you had to be KenPom Top 20 in offensive and defensive efficiency to win a title, but I wasn't quite aware of how dire UK's profile looks right now. I don't post this as doom and gloom coming off one bad game, and I still believe the Cats have time to get it together and make a run with some changes, but this data is staggering...

Seems like there were a handful that picked MI over UK. Any that might come on board now?

Not predicting he is going to break out as a starter but one of the players I am most interested in this offseason is Austin Ramsey.

Watching for the development of Malachi Wood at offensive tackle, but Ramsey is one of the younger guards in the program that they are really working on developing hard and seems to be some belief he could be a player for them. This is a big offseason for him with Jalen Farmer coming in. Couple of guys who could raise the ceiling of the iOL. I have mentioned Ramsey before but wasn't 100% if he was someone they liked as a tackle or guard. Assumed guard and have heard guard is where to watch for him at.

I may even put him above Rodriguez in the guard pecking order but not 100% confident in that.

If you’re going to blame Cal for loses why not credit him for wins. Think about it how can you do one and not the other. Can’t wait to hear your responses. I know the one about the blind squirrel 🐿, so can’t use that one.

This was a truly awful loss in conference play on the road.

Anyone have a guess as to which team stunk it up this badly, this late in the season?

I still support our coach and fully believe in his ability to get us to where we want to go.

With that said, yes our defense needs work and major work at that. Our starting lineup needs some tweaking done as well. Our game Saturday will let you know how Cal feels about the loss to SC. I think it will be our best defensive game to date. Cal told the team today to buckle down or he’s benching them. I think he’s mainly talking to Edwards but probably also DJ and Bradshaw.

A team that loses at home to UNCW isn’t winning a national championship. That loss should have made it clear there’s something inherently missing from this team that lowers its ceiling. And the Wagner excuse is absurd. That loss showed the roster and team, though at times super entertaining, just doesn’t have what it takes.
