Pitino lands another double-digit scorer transfer.

RJ Luis picked St. John's. Kid was only a freshman last year.

The wing forward averaged 12 and 5 last year. St. John's now has the 4th best transfer portal group.

St. John's now will have six players on their roster who averaged double-digit scoring last season, including their returning starting center and also Dingle.

They will make the tournament. I'm hoping for a second round matchup against Pitino.

GO TO RUPP ARENA!

If you're 67 like I am, you'll likely appreciate what I am about to recommend.

I was a student at UK from 74-78, and that afforded me the chance to compare seeing games at Memorial with those at Rupp. I saw every game as a student, and was present when students got great seats in Section 31 for the first-ever game in Rupp versus Wisconsin (1976, a 72-64 win)

Long story short, I attended last night's volleyball game...the first time in Rupp in several years. I was completely floored with the extremely impressive updates. How it looks now is amazing. I can't wait to attend my next game there (working tonight at UK). Go tonight if you can--get off the couch and go get yourself a ticket.

It was so loud that first night ever, but it was arguably some of the worst looking 1970's architecture, and the color scheme was awful. Transformations over the years have made things much better (we did not have ice cream that first few years!).

My oh my, have things changed. From outside to in, it looks like the basketball palace it should be. I look forward to going again soon, and this is a great time for any of you--especially those who have never seen UK play in Rupp--to see them in person. What an absolute pantheon it is today compared to that very first night. I do highly recommend that you use these early-game opportunities to see the greatest program in the history of college basketball perform on their most amazing home stage.

GO BIG BLUE!!

The NCAA is a joke!

Big Z seems to be another Enes Kanter situation. I read he's eligible to play, only to find out he might not be. Maybe some of you know more than I do, but we know Emmert and the NCAA hates Kentucky and Calipari.

Alabama was allowed to play a guy last season who gave a handgun to someone who murdered his ex girlfriend.

If I'm wrong let me know because I can't stand Emmert who always love sticking it to our beloved program.

It also sucks that we might be without our bigs against Kansas. And I do not want to see another early loss to these guys. I can't stand Self and his felons playing for him this season.

What do you all think!?!

A healthy Bradshaw puts this UK team as the team to beat

Think about it, we lose to #1 KU on neutral floor by 5 without all 3 of our 7 footers.
We become the best team in the country with Bradshaw as our 7 foot top 5 recruit C.

Everyone is chasing us starting Nov 24 v Marshall.

Heaven forbid that the Big Z gets cleared and Ugonna gets healthy.

We would be twice as good as anyone elae!

Go Big Blue!

FB Recruiting Patterson explains his flip to Kentucky

Good stuff from new UK RB commit Jason Patterson, who explains the process of flipping from Cincinnati to Kentucky.

Getting to know Jay Boulware better was a big part of it. Watching Ray Davis against Florida was a big factor, too.

Why is our offense stuck in the mud and how does it get fixed?

It’s been well publicized that we run the fewest plays in college football and our offense runs at a snails pace. I’m very concerned our coaches haven’t tried to speed things up, especially with who our QB is…or have I just missed it? Do you think we’ll see more of the same these last two weeks or will there be a change in strategy? What happens during the offseason to change the opinion of fans and recruits that this offense is Iowaesque? Starting to have my doubts about Coen.

Shooting

Look there is a lot of time to get things right, but here we are again with issues making an open shot. They played off of Thiero and with good reason and they will eventually do it to Wagner, and Burks shots were not even close from range and Edwards- cmon.

If I can say anything to this current class, just work on shooting. We know you are fast, can dribble and can get to the rim and yes you can dunk.
But you are going against d1 athletes and coaches, they are going to REFUSE letting you get to the rim at will and it will be even harder if you CANNOT SHOOT!

JUST WORK ON SHOOTING! Work on making your release faster and rotation better, we know you can do the rest.

I mean, I am a pretty smart armchair coach, you should take my advice.

Left hand

Several of these guys are great using their left hand. Wagner in particular. Like when he comes down the middle or right side and crosses over. He’s made some shots that are difficult.

Mitchell can drive and finish left. Dillingham clever on the dribble and finishing. Sheppard used both hands well.

Edwards is a lefty and needs to use his right better.

I think DJ had some nerves starting out and it showed in his jump shot. Kind of jumps forward on it.

He shoots better with the step back probably because he was guarded so closely in HS. Sure has a motor plays hard on both ends. His d effort surprises me.
