Looks like Flip for Duke got injured during a court storming today. I wish they would make the home team forfeit the if the fans storm the court. But players and fans can be hurt or killed.

If it will ever reform this incident will spur it guaranteed.
That’s the simple way to end it. Just forfeit the game if the fans storm. But trust me, now that a duke player almost got hurt changes will be made next season

There have been previous injuries but it’s never been banned. But now that Puke is the victim, expect to see it gone.

Agree about Duke. Didn’t hear a peep about this when LSU stormed the court after besting UK this week.
I hate Duke as much as the next guy, but if fans are charging at you and potentially risking your health, knock all of them on their @$$.

Regardless, it really needs to be banned. Too easy for anyone whether it’s players or fans to get injured with no real upside other than some college students getting their picture on the court/field.
Life is not a video game. If someone is running across one inch in front of you, the forearm is going to come out for protection as much as if they are coming to hit you.

Didn’t hear a peep from who? That story was well told this week, we even know the amount of the fine, $100,000. Besides, the SEC has already addressed this issue and will levy penalties. The ACC has done nothing.

As an opposing player you should be very defensive when fans storm the court. You have no idea if they are coming to hurt you or not. I think he should have been more physical with the fans that were running toward him.

Watch the media sit back and tsk tsk now, after ESPN and others have made bank highlighting these court stormings every week. As someone else said here, when it happens to a Dukie, shit gets real.
I’d be furious if I was Schyer. Storming the court or field is so dangerous for everyone. I don’t know how you penalize the home team enough such that the fans would take notice and stop doing it. Maybe the conference or the NCAA forfeit the win? Fines certainly aren’t doing much good.
