I also hope we sign all three, of course. All three would do well in Stoops' football program.
Being practical, no school ever signs every player they recruit. Alabama and Georgia can't sign every player they want, so it probably isn't realistic to think UK will.
Addressing these three specifically. I am amazed by the great job Coach Wolford has done recruiting Walker. When Steve Clinkscale left UK, I figured there would be a lull, at least, in Stoops' opportunity to sign players from the state of MI. And since Clinkscale tried to sway Walker to MI, it looked like we would not get him. But Wolford is actually outrecruiting Clinkscale for Walker. It won't be easy to close the deal. But UK is right there with Walker, and I could sure see how Walker would envision early playing time at UK. We have a pretty good shot. Not a sure thing, but Walker recently named UK as his favorite in an interview.
Brown has double digit offers from SEC programs. I don't know which ones are currently committable and which aren't. But Brown has options. UK is a three hour drive from his home, and he knows he would play early in his career. If he believes in Coach Coen, then we have a good shot. It comes down to that.
I don't know to what extent Ahmad Wagner's decision to play football for UK will affect his younger brother's decision. Most people would agree that getting the last official visit is usually an advantage when recruiting uncommitted prospects. ND got Wagner's last visit. Based on his statements, Wagner seems interested in ND and PA St. I can't read his mind. Even with his high upside, Wagner needs development because he has a lanky build. He may have a longer view. If so, that could favor UK. But there has not been much news on Wagner lately, so his recruitment is not predictable. Wagner is unusually athletic. Sure would love to know whether Coach Marrow is strictly recruiting him as an OT, or whether Stoops might see a future DE or TE. Just spitballing there, but Stoops has closed with other highly-ranked players in the past by giving them an opportunity for positional flexibility. Weaver, McCall, and Rogers, for example.
Lots of names have been discussed here on this thread and elsewhere. I find it very interesting that schools are being allowed to recruit additional players this year to replace their super-seniors. That means UK's class could end up larger than we expected. And yet, our current discussions of UK targets are centering on a small number of players. There has to be a lot more going on behind the scenes. Maybe other hs players we haven't been focused on. Maybe some pending transfers. Probably both. Either way, there is bound to be unexpected news around the corner.
