Depends on how much embarrassment he can take.He looked pretty miserable.
We will make it worse if we tank.
But 9 large is a big number.
He'll be back.
If attendance drops considerably and the fans that go to the games wear brown paper bags over their heads. Maybe then Stoops and the administration will find an exit deal that both can live with. After all PR and image are REALLY IMPORTANT to UK.
And guess what, we didn’t pay Cal a penny to leave. He violated his contract and he knew it and didn’t think Mitch would call his bluff. Stoops seems to me to be the type that will leave on his own next year and will ask Mitch for a reduced buyout as he knows Mitch was in his court the whole time he was here. Hopefully I am right and we can start fresh.Too early to be talking about this. But just for shits and goggles…..
The fanbase screamed to the heavens to fire cal and Mitch wasn’t gonna pay 30m to do it. Guess what it would cost to fire stoops, 44 million biggins. So yall gotta stop wasting your time with this talk about firing
I can see that happening. But I don't see Mitch eating 44m to ax himAnd guess what, we didn’t pay Cal a penny to leave. Ego… coaches have a huge ego. They face scrutiny all the time, but they hate being scrutinized by anyone that doesn’t want them. Our former basketball coach is a prime example, IMO.I am curious about these negotiated buyout. If the coach or whoever says no to negotiation I want what my contract calls for. Why would he take 25 when owed 45? He didn't force anyone to give him that amount.
Not. Gonna. Happen.I can see that happening. But I don't see Mitch eating 44m to ax him
Sad to say, but we may be heading into the kind of down cycle that Missouri, South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, and even Vandy have been through tecently that have enabled us to enjoy SEC wins ... it may our turn to become weaker than we've been. Things run in cycles ...Surely, this is Stoops' last year. This year looks like a disaster but next year will be even worse if he returns. Look at what we lose after this year. A lot of good seniors and a few guys who may go pro early.
WR- Key, Brown and Maclin could all go pro early or will surely transfer to a team that can throw for more than 30 yards. If this happens, our best WR's will be Brown-Stephens and Gilmore. We literally have no other scholarship players except Farrier and Fr Washington.
OL- Mincey (who was good at UT but sucks here-hmm), Eli Cox, Marques Cox, Ford - These guys may not be all world but we have very little behind them because our recruiting here has been abysmal so next year could be even worse. J Burton may be our top returner- barf.
TE- None expected unless Dingle transfers again.
RB- Top two RB's Trayanum and DSK.
DL- Deone (pro), Oxendine, Henry-Young, Rybka, Hayes- Yikes, our best unit loses a lot after this year.
LB- Dumas Johnson, Rayner, Jackson, Weaver- Yikes, three really good LB's gone.
DB- Hairston (pro), Story, Childress
K- Raynor
Cal was a retard and tried to use Arkansas to negotiate more money. In doing so, he nullified his contract and Mitch told him to go ahead and go. I don’t think Cal ever had real intentions of going to shit hole Arkansas. The difference is, Arkansas hired Cal away, who is going to hire Stoops? Nobody.
I would guess their bandwagon is full.If Stoops returns next year, I am going to become an Alabama Football fan.
I wonder if Arkansas would be willing to help us out again…… jk, kinda.Too early to be talking about this. But just for shits and goggles…..
