SIAP: Aaron Bradshaw fractures foot

That sunshine pumping crap wont work with me. I dont give a rats arse about the man. I do however care about our kids and our team. Sharpe didnt play because he was scared his stock would drop or maybe he was injured and he was scared he could get more injured. Whatever the reason, the one thing stands clear. He was scared. Book that!!
Cal let him sit out. Darth Vader would have never done such a thing.

There is absolutely no reason he shouldn't be ready for start of season. The first game is in 20 weeks. If he isn't ready, he isn't playing next year.
You forget Cal’s players injury timeline.
Hang nail is 20 weeks.
I think Bradshaw Will perfectly fine by June 2024. I hear that’s the most important month for KY basketball these days.

Anderson didn't want to play. This is from Pitino himself. What would you have done? Play him?
That's funny because Anderson himself has said he would have and wanted to play. There was an article discussing it when Nerlens tore his ACL. Anderson reached out to offer support because he knew what Nerlens was going through and in the article, Anderson said he wanted to play in the championship game and that had he played, we would have won.

Yes exactly and supposedly will be back just towards the same time that it'll be up in the air as to whether he plays or not etc etc. I swear there are bigger forces at work with these things than I think many comprehend.

It is strange that there was rumors of a foot injury a month ago and low and behold he has a fractured foot. It's very likely he is legit injured but I'm not going to sit here and act like the thought doesn't cross my mind that he is just protecting his draft stock because it very well has. Call me an asshole or whatever you want I don't wish ill on anyone but something feels off with this. We have no inside presence at all on this team and I don't see cal doing anything to try and change that.
Every bit of this is on Cal. He simply will not do the right thing and tell a player to get out there and play, or leave. He's too invested in their NBA draft stock.

Agreed. My son said he showed up each day here and there. Took a few pics and signed some stuff. BUT, there was zero instruction or actual interaction.

It flew all over me. The players were in there the last day. Antigua was in there (incredibly nice guy), but Cal couldn't pull away for the 20 minutes it took to send the kids off.

There were roughly 200 kids there. It cost 575 per overnight camper. Right at 400 for those who got picked up daily. And to top it off, the camp was called JOHN CALIPARI overnight camp. Smh.
In all honesty, he wouldn't have been able to provide that much basketball instruction anyway. 20 minutes and he'd be tapped out.

Do you think we want Kentucky to suck?
Just speaking to those who would still want Cal gone even if he somehow went to a final four this year. Some actually hate Cal that much. I’d much rather Cal turn things around, but things aren’t trending in the right direction.

You guys remember how we used to have a coach in the 1990s who once told a former top 2 recruit and senior-to-be Rodrick Rhodes that he could redshirt to make room for Ron Mercer and Derek Anderson? In other words, a coach who put the team's priority of WINNING ahead of the needs of individual players?

Yeah, seems like a long time ago now doesn't it?
Rhodes did not develop in his time here. His performance seemed to get worse every year. Most coaches could see Rhodes would not play over Mercer. You are correct though, former top two recruit that ,I do not think, ever was drafted.

I’m a Cal supporter but if Bradshaw does not play any this season I want Cal out of here. We all know how Klutch operates and they are sneaky little bastards.
Why in the hell would you want Cal fired because a player gets injured? I think that is really stupid. He won't be fired over a player's injury in my opinion. I also see no proof that Klutch is dictating anything to Cal or any coach.

Cal's last few defenders, doing their best to protect his majesty's honor (@MdWIldcat55 , @Lempface , @SpamburgerHamburger , @bluefaithful , @Sejonesy , @jameslee32, @mdlUK.1 , @sk73 , @kybassfan, etc.):

I'm not a Cal supporter, just need to be fair in your criticisms. I don't really care if anyone wants the dude gone or whatever. But the name calling (begok, CCC, Cow, etc.) and just getting insanely mad over everything that happens even if Cal has no control over it, blaming it on Cal, it's just over the top, and irritating. Be rational in your criticisms and I have no problem. If the guy came out and said what you said, roster construction sucked, so this injury is a bigger issue than it should be, then I have no problem with that. But coming in with no additional context saying Cal is leaving the place in ruins because of an injury is silly.

Rhodes did not develop in his time here. His performance seemed to get worse every year. Most coaches could see Rhodes would not play over Mercer. You are correct though, former top two recruit that ,I do not think, ever was drafted.
There is also the rumor that Rhodes missed curfew the night before UK played Arkansas in the SEC tournament and that Pitino told him if he didn't have a good game he was gone as a result. According to that rumor, that was why he was crying on the bench after missing those 2 free throws because he knew he was done at UK.

My pessimistic side sees this injury lingering all year and eventually he is shut down to protect his draft stock.
My cynical side says it’s another “injury cover story” that Cal has admitted to doing in his own book. And the Bradshaw camp who had already been demanding playing the 4…rumors of teaming up w bronny etc…decided that they don’t love the 7 man roster and outlook in the season and figured the Sharpe path of sitting all year was best.

Hope not. I hope he has a speedy recovery and plays from conference play on. But this seems to be a yearly thing since Jarred Vanderbilt….including wheelers obvious cover up last season

This is a disaster any way you slice it. At the moment, I tend to lean towards him actually being injured because foot injuries are kind of notoriously tricky in big men, and he could actually be costing himself draft spots if he and Klutch picked that as his cover story for sitting out. Whether it’s a legit injury or not though, the effect on Kentucky is the same. We’re looking at a minimum of him missing the entire non-conference schedule with a real chance he never plays at all, and only have 1 other true interior player even on the roster. Just comically bad roster management by Cal to get us stuck in this position.

This injury which I would give anything for not to happen but This will make our final roster better. Our final 3 scholarships will go differently now. This mind job of Bradshaw playing and controlling the minutes at the 4 are out the door. His season has changed. If he wants to play, hes going to have to earn it now because we have a scorer at the 4. Next man up. Meet Jordan Burks.
Get Jordan Brown.
Get Antonio Reeves
Get Somto.

We are Kentucky!

6 months gets us to Christmas break then after the first of the year we pickup where sharpe was and having to learn the plays, get his conditioning back in etc. I’m in agreement with those that think he never plays.
